Chapter Summaries

Uchiha Fugaku prevented Tekka and the other Uchiha from detaining Itachi, deepening the clan’s distrust as the coup approached. Meanwhile, Hyuga Mirai prepared Sasori for a mission, and Pakura’s Federation declared war on Konoha after Root killed Yasunori Sakai.

• Uchiha Itachi returned home and said he had gone to the Military Police Force to learn about Shisui.
• Uchiha Tekka pressed Itachi to help capture the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, but Fugaku stopped the clan members from detaining him by revealing his Mangekyō Sharingan.
• Uchiha Tekka left Fugaku’s home with the others, while Fugaku worried that the coup had little chance of success and Itachi went upstairs to rest.
• Hyuga Mirai prepared an untested anti-gravity airship for Sasori of the Red Sand, who set off toward the Land of Fire to pick someone up.

As Konoha prepared to isolate the Uchiha Compound, Uchiha Tekka took command of the Military Police Force and organized the clan’s evacuation and defense. Uchiha Itachi and Uchiha Obito discussed their targets, while Uchiha Yashiro’s first group of clansmen met Sasori at the agreed rendezvous, leaving their journey to the Saudi Federation unresolved.

• Uchiha Tekka took command while Uchiha Fugaku was absent, ordered Suion Uchiha to draw Konoha’s attention, and summoned additional Uchiha fighters as Anbu and Root tightened their surveillance.
• Uchiha Fugaku arrived alone, heard the situation, and told Uchiha Tekka that he seemed more suited to be clan head.

Hyuga Mirai arrived in Konoha and entered despite the barriers, while the village leaders focused on the growing crisis at the Uchiha Compound.

• Uchiha Itachi killed members of the Uchiha Clan and found packed belongings that suggested some clan members planned to defect.
• Uchiha Yashiro and his squad surrounded Itachi, accused him of murdering their clansmen, and attacked him.
• Uchiha Itachi used genjutsu and ninjutsu to kill several Military Police Force members, then struck Uchiha Yashiro with Tsukuyomi and killed him.

• Uchiha Fugaku and Uchiha Tekka used their Mangekyō abilities to injure Uchiha Obito, but Obito escaped through the flames with Space-Time Ninjutsu.

Hyuga Mirai interrupted Uchiha Itachi’s attack on the Uchiha Clan, overwhelming him and clashing with the masked Uchiha Obito. Itachi called Root and Anbu into the conflict, while Danzo prepared to use the Nine-Tails against the Uchiha and bring Kushina in if she interfered.

• Hyuga Mirai rescued an unconscious Uchiha boy, then struck Uchiha Itachi with an Air Palm that blasted him through a house.
• Itachi survived and attacked Mirai with Amaterasu, but Mirai dodged and closed in before Uchiha Obito used space-time ninjutsu to rescue Itachi.

Kushina discovered that Root had abducted Naruto during a school exercise and fought their forces to get him back. At the same time, Danzo’s forces attacked the Uchiha Compound under orders accusing the clan of rebellion, and Uchiha Fugaku used Susanoo to defend it as the battle continued.

• Kushina forced her way into the Ninja Academy, defeated the teachers trying to stop her, and found Root members carrying an unconscious Naruto.
• Kushina entered Cursed Seal Sage Mode, killed three Root members, and faced two more Root teams sent by Danzo to capture her.
• After a Signal Flare was fired at the Uchiha Compound, Root and Anbu forces surrounded it in greater numbers and received orders to attack the Uchiha Clan.

Uchiha Tekka captured the wounded Uchiha Itachi and joined Uchiha Fugaku to confront the rampaging Nine-Tails Jinchuriki, Uzumaki Naruto. Tekka restored Fugaku with his Mangekyō ability, but Naruto unleashed another devastating Chakra shockwave as Danzo remained hidden.

• Uchiha Tekka ordered Uchiha Itachi restrained and reserved his execution for before the clan, while assigning Fuu and Aoki to escort him back to the other clansmen.
• After sensing the Nine-Tails, Uchiha Tekka sent most of the Military Police Force to support Uchiha Fugaku and went with Hyuga Mirai, who healed their injuries along the way.

• Naruto caught the arrow and grew a fourth chakra tail, while Fugaku and Tekka used earth and fire techniques to restrain him and Kushina was injured by the ensuing shockwave.

• Tsunade told Shizune she would visit the hot springs and then go to Otogakure to confront Orochimaru.
• Sarutobi Shinnosuke gathered the Sarutobi elders and ordered fifty clan Ninja to replenish the weakened Anbu and protect the clan’s influence.
• Hyūga Branch Family members openly discussed Hyuga Mirai’s claims, while the Main Family insisted the Byakugan had no hidden secret.
• Hyuga Sōun threatened Hyuga Kenta with the Caged Bird Seal after Kenta questioned him, prompting Branch Family guards to challenge Sōun.

In Otogakure, Orochimaru became increasingly interested in studying the Tenseigan and considered experimenting on Hyuga Main Family members.

• Hyuga Hiashi explained that the Main Family knew nothing about Hyuga Mirai’s eyes, banned casual use of the Caged Bird Seal, and temporarily calmed the Branch Family.
• The First Elder suggested Hyuga Souya might know about the clan’s inherited records, prompting Hyuga Hiashi to seek him out.

• Orochimaru considered targeting Hyuuga children for research, then learned Tsunade and Shizune had arrived in Otogakure and hid his Hashirama Cell experiments before greeting them.
• Tsunade asked Orochimaru for capable assistants for her return as Hokage, and he agreed to provide Kabuto and Kimimaro if she let his people move freely in Konoha and turned a blind eye to willing Hyuuga Main House members leaving.
• Orochimaru explained that Kabuto would enter Konoha as a spy and Kimimaro would serve at Tsunade’s side, after which Tsunade borrowed money and departed with Kimimaro.
• At the Rain Country border, Ōnoki confronted Sarutobi Hiruzen over Konoha diverting troops to face the Saudi Federation and threatened to withdraw Iwa-nin from the war.
