Hyuga Mirai rejected Hyuga Kiyomi’s plea to return to Konoha and struck her down as Jiraiya arrived in Sage Mode. Mirai summoned Xiao Zi, whose battle with Jiraiya’s party ended with the giant snake swallowing Gamabunta.

• Hyuga Mirai admitted that the gentle persona Hyuga Kiyomi trusted had been an act, though he said he was grateful to her for protecting him.
