At a small stall somewhere in Konoha,

Itachi Uchiha and Kisame, both wearing conical hats, watched the ninja passing across the rooftops from the corners of their eyes. Kisame said in a hoarse voice,

"Looks like Konoha just went through a major battle. Could Konan and that person have caused it?"

Itachi ordered a few snacks. While the owner turned away to prepare them, he said quietly,

"The Five Kage are gathered in Konoha right now. The only one who would dare cause trouble at a time like this is the person with the Rinnegan."

Kisame folded his arms and narrowed his eyes.

"But even the Rinnegan probably can't stand against all Five Kage working together. Not to mention this is Konoha's home ground, with no shortage of powerful ninja."

Itachi nodded.

"I don't know how Konan and he are doing right now. As long as they don't get too caught up in the fight, I don't think the two of them will have any trouble getting away."
