Chapter Summaries

CP9 attacked Galley-La Company in Water 7, defeating the giants Kashi and Oimo before Lucci nearly killed Iceburg. Gigue appeared and stopped Lucci, then confronted Iceburg about helping build the Straw Hat Pirates’ ship.

• Barry warned Iceburg that CP9 had returned and attacked the shipwrights.
• Lucci wounded Kashi, while Otake and the other CP9 members restrained and defeated Oimo.
• Lucci and Kaku’s group defeated both giants before Iceburg arrived with guards.
• Lucci stopped his attack just short of Iceburg’s eye when a calm voice commanded him to stop.
• Gigue appeared, and Lucci and the others knelt before him as Bruno stepped through a door.

Gigue seized control of Water 7, killed Barry and the giants Oimo and Kashi, and took Iceburg prisoner before returning to Mary Geoise. He found the women in his rear courtyard enjoying a pool party and announced his presence.

• Iceburg froze when Gigue questioned him, and Kalifa slapped him; Barry attacked her but Gigue killed him with a shadow spear.
• Gigue bound Iceburg in shadow threads and declared him deposed, folded Galley-La Company into the military industry, and killed Oimo and Kashi to intimidate Water 7’s residents.

Gigue arrived at Vegapunk’s research institute and subdued the berserk Seraphim Little Kuma. After agreeing to fund repairs, he asked Vegapunk to build a ship from the plans Pudding delivered.

• Gigue caught Little Kuma’s attack and easily blocked his strikes while Vegapunk and the others watched in shock.
• Gigue trapped Little Kuma with Gravity Rings, flicked him unconscious, and ordered Vegapunk to have him put away.
• Vegapunk explained that Caesar had startled him and caused him to activate the Seraphim by accident.

Vegapunk received Pluton's blueprints and Gigue ordered him to modify the weapon with Mother Seed and repair a Seraphim. On Baltigo, the Straw Hat Pirates watched Lindbergh revive Emmett in Franky's rebuilt body, but Luffy left after Emmett called him Joy Boy.
