Ch. 81Garling Makes His Move

Garling confronted Warcury over the surveillance of his nephew, Gigue, and the fight drew the Five Elders to the scene. In the council chamber, Garling challenged Warcury to explain who authorized the monitoring, leaving Warcury exposed as he considered the threat Gigue posed to his influence over the Navy.

  • Warcury transformed and charged Garling, but Garling’s sword strike shattered Warcury’s tusks before Nusjuro blocked the blow.
  • Nusjuro and the other Five Elders arrived, and Saturn urged everyone to discuss the incident in the council chamber.
  • Garling ordered the crowned man and Carlos’s Golden Armor Guards to leave, and the crowned man warned that he would assemble the Divine Knights if Garling had not returned by nightfall.
  • Warcury threatened to report Garling to Imu unless he explained his actions, but Garling asked who had authorized the surveillance of his nephew.
  • Saturn questioned Warcury about monitoring Gigue, while Warcury recognized that Aramaki had exposed his actions and reflected on his fear of the Figarland Family gaining control of the Navy.

Ch. 82Dragon Is Back in Action

Garling forced Warcury to stop interfering with Gigue and keep Aramaki in the Marines. At the Marine Academy, Aramaki and Dragon prepared to fight while Gigue watched to see how well Dragon had recovered.

  • Warcury claimed he had sent someone to bring Gigue back to Mary Geoise, but Garling warned him not to interfere again.
  • Garling told Warcury that Aramaki would stay with the Marines because Gigue valued him and Aramaki intended to pledge allegiance.
  • During training, Aramaki beat Aokiji after Aokiji accidentally punched him, then mocked Dragon.

  • Gigue stopped Aokiji from panicking and said he would let Dragon and Aramaki fight unless they caused too much damage.

Ch. 83Aramaki vs. Dragon

Dragon and Aramaki fought in a fierce contest of wind and plants, with Dragon gaining the upper hand in close combat before Aramaki’s giant treant form wore down. As Dragon moved to finish him, Gigue intervened and stopped Dragon by seizing his wrist.

  • Dragon prepared to strike the exhausted Aramaki with Dragon Claw, but Gigue seized Dragon’s wrist and told him to stop.

Ch. 84Dragon's Frustration

  • Gigue ended the fight by mangling Dragon’s wrist with his darkness, then ordered cadets to take him to the infirmary.
  • Gigue praised Aramaki’s performance and gave him three days off, while Ginny told Jessica that Gigue admired her cooking.

  • Gigue privately admitted that he was deliberately pushing Dragon toward leaving the Marines so he could force him into a trial before he established the Revolutionary Army.

Ch. 85Graduation Exam

Gigue and the other graduating cadets prepared for a tournament-style practical exam that would determine their assignments, while Gigue, Akainu, and Kizaru were excluded from the draw because they already held Rear Admiral rank. At the examination grounds, Gigue took his seat among the senior officers, and the exam began.

  • Dragon kept to himself and trained diligently as another year passed and Gigue's academy life neared its end.
  • Zephyr announced that Gigue, Kizaru, and Akainu would not enter the graduation exam draw because headquarters had separate arrangements for them.

  • Lucia opened the fight with a sword slash, but Kuma blocked her strikes with his paw pads.
  • Lucia used Fallen Eye, but Kuma barely reacted because he had few desires, and she mistakenly attributed his resistance to Haki.
  • Lucia transformed into her Fallen Angel form and struck Kuma with Judgment Day, burning him but failing to defeat him.
  • Kuma countered with Ursus Shock as Lucia charged with Fallen Angel Hammer, and their attacks injured both fighters.
  • Lucia conceded, believing Kuma had greater stamina, and a dark vortex appeared before her as she murmured, “Cousin...”

  • Zephyr charged at Gigue, but Akainu and Kizaru intercepted him and unleashed their attacks while Gigue added his darkness.
  • As Kizaru and Akainu exhausted themselves, Gigue told Kizaru to stop, and Zephyr prepared to finish the fight against Gigue alone.

  • Gigue escorted the drunken Ginny to her dormitory, then agreed to take a walk with Lucia.
  • Gion watched Gigue and Lucia leave together before returning to help Jessica settle Ginny.
  • At the training ground, Gigue appointed Lucia his adjutant and told her she was his woman.
