As one of the colonial islands closest to Pritz Harbor, Damir Island enjoyed an "order" quite different from that of other colonial islands.
Perhaps because it was close enough to the mainland, the navy still held a certain degree of authority here. Yet it was precisely that authority that made the island's order even more chaotic than on some islands ruled by pirates.
The island was small and close to shore, with neither Great Pirates nor powerful naval officers. It sounded peaceful enough, but everyone knew that those who made their living in the underworld did not fear scheming old hands or regional overlords. What they feared most were hotheaded newcomers fresh onto the scene.
And Damir Island was exactly where such hotheads gathered.
Newly established adventurers, naval officers fresh out of school, and pirates newly put to sea competed against one another in this "paradise." Only by graduating from here did they earn the right to step into the vast ocean.
At this moment, however, an eerie atmosphere was brewing in an utterly ordinary bar on Damir Island.
The bar, which should have been noisy and chaotic, was excessively quiet. Pirates, adventurers, and even the "ordinary people" who came here for entertainment all had their eyes fixed on one spot.
At a table by the window, a young woman who clearly did not belong here was elegantly eating local specialties. She had delicate features and smooth black hair that cascaded like a waterfall. She wore a white single-breasted formal suit beneath a white trench coat with a long hem.
Two young women dressed as maids attended her on either side, making the entire meal feel less like one in a bar on a pirate-infested colonial island and more like one in the dining room of some great noble estate.
