At Zhou Mingrui's expression of "I'm tired, destroy it already, hurry up," his mother's startled voice reached his ears again—
"Ah, um, who are you looking for? Mm, do you understand Chinese?"
"???" Zhou Mingrui's expression changed immediately upon hearing that. He walked out of the kitchen toward the entryway, then spotted from afar a doll-like girl standing at the door with a gift bag in her hand.
"Sharron?" Zhou Mingrui's eyes widened instantly, because this situation was completely beyond anything he had expected.
After all, although Fors and Adwina had shown up abruptly, they had both disguised themselves to some extent—under Feng Xue's unreasonable authority of What is Seen is Truth, their appearances had shifted toward Asian features. Though he could recognize them at a glance thanks to the Clown's talent, their visible facial features were softer than before, so Father Zhou and Mother Zhou had not found anything strange.
But Sharron was entirely different. She had not disguised herself at all and had appeared at the door in her original appearance. Her exquisite, exotic features paired with a Western-style dress that barely counted as casual wear immediately threw his mother into a strange state of mind.
"Hello, Auntie. Is this Zhou Mingrui's home?" Fluent Chinese came from Sharron's mouth. Mother Zhou almost immediately turned her head and shot Zhou Mingrui a look that said, "I don't remember raising you to be like this," before smiling and saying,
"That's right. You are...?"
"My name is Sharron. I'm Zhou Mingrui's friend." Sharron lightly lifted her skirt, but that left Mother Zhou at a complete loss. Should she return the gesture? How was one supposed to respond to a curtsy? Lift her own skirt? Would an apron work?
"Ahem, Mom! Don't stand around at the door. Sharron, you come in too."
