Rōsha looked at Torikaze somewhat nervously. If it was not acceptable, he would have to sell the gold, which would take a great deal more time.
It was not that he feared the trouble; he was afraid Torikaze would grow angry from having to wait.
Fortunately, Torikaze did not care about such a small sum. "Mm, this is quite good. I rather like it. I can have some jewelry made for my wife, so I'll accept it. This deal has turned out quite satisfactorily."
At that, Rōsha finally smiled. "As long as you are satisfied. No matter how you look at it, Sunagakure has gotten the better end of this deal. We must still thank Lord Torikaze for helping Sunagakure escape the torment of wind and sand."
Torikaze smiled and waved his hand. "It will still be a long time before the Land of Wind's environment is truly improved. You have forests now, but the drought remains. You need to be prepared."
"Still, you need not worry about the trees. As long as they are not deliberately damaged, they will remain healthy no matter what."
Rōsha nodded. "Understood, Lord Torikaze."
If all three hundred thousand trees survived, Sunagakure would never lack resources again.
Where there were trees, there was hope. For the time being, however, these trees would not become any sort of resource.
Rōsha had not purchased the trees for immediate gains. As long as this forest was properly protected, it could ensure decades of stable living for Sunagakure's villagers.
Making such a contribution while serving as Kazekage was enough to stand alongside the First Kazekage, was it not?
In fact, in the eyes of many villagers, Rōsha's achievements were already comparable to those of the First Kazekage.
