"Where is this?"
As Jiraiya wandered around, he arrived at Konoha's arena.
The entire arena was packed shoulder to shoulder. Everywhere he looked, there were people.
Cheers and excited cries constantly rang out from inside, making the place seem incredibly lively.
Jiraiya was someone who enjoyed lively places, because they gave him a chance to secretly admire beautiful women.
So, he decided to squeeze his way in and take a look.
There were already a great many people in the arena. Jiraiya was not fat, but it still took him quite some time to squeeze into a spot where he could see the screen clearly.
"Huh? What is that?"
After entering, he saw an enormous Crystal screen hanging in the center of the arena.
It was playing scenes of combat, leaving Jiraiya even more confused.
"What exactly is going on here? Where is that person fighting?"
When the person beside him heard Jiraiya's question, he immediately knew that Jiraiya was from Another World.
"He's in the Trial Tower. This is an old Konoha attraction—watching streamers challenge the Trial Tower."
"That streamer is extremely popular, which is why so many people came to watch. You're pretty lucky to have managed to squeeze in."
Jiraiya was still utterly bewildered. "What Trial Tower? What's that?"
The helpful man pointed into the distance. "See that tower spire over there? That's the Trial Tower. It can let ordinary ninjas gain powerful abilities and powerful ninjas gain even greater strength."
"It's a very good place, but you might also get nothing at all, because you only get one chance."
This piqued Jiraiya's curiosity. It could grant powerful strength? It looked like nothing more than a tower.
That person was merely fighting monsters over and over. Aside from the number at the side rising, nothing else changed
