"Why had I come to Konoha? Mainly to take my wife and children out for some fun and let them see the world. We've already accomplished a small part of that."
"And my wife likes this sort of atmosphere too, so I brought her to look around Konoha. After all, the year is coming to an end. We ought to enjoy ourselves a little."
Kagami burst out laughing. "I never expected you to like Konoha this much, Mikoto. Then you must have a good time this trip—it's the most meaningful night of the year in Konoha."
Mikoto Uchiha looked somewhat flattered, while little Sasuke in her arms continued to fuss.
"How about this? Go tidy up the house first. This place suits your needs fairly well, though you'll need to make some renovations yourselves."
There were many members of the Uchiha Clan, so most houses already had owners. Only a very small number had been left untouched for years.
The biggest problem with houses like that was that they could easily collapse.
The last time they had been able to stay in the Uchiha Clan's residence was mainly because Fugaku's family had left the compound to carry out a mission.
Thinking that both men were named Fugaku anyway, and that it did not matter which Fugaku lived there, Kagami had arranged for Uchiha Fugaku's family to stay in the house.
But that would not work this time. The couple and their child were home.
Led by Kagami, the family of four arrived at an old house in the Uchiha Compound.
After hearing Kagami describe how badly it had fallen into disrepair, Mikoto Uchiha had thought it was practically a ruin. She had even considered having Uchiha Fugaku find an excuse to leave.
But once she arrived and saw it for
