But Rock Lee did not feel inferior. He felt there was nothing bad about coming from an ordinary family.
His father worked at the factory on the Back Mountain and was even a small-time supervisor, earning more than some ninja.
Though that did not include the people before him.
"We're all the same, there's no real difference. My dad isn't anything special either. He's busy every day and doesn't have time to play with me."
Neji and the others nodded as well. They did not think being a ninja made someone superior to ordinary people.
"You guys are pretty nice. I ran into a really arrogant ninja before, but then some uncles from the Military Police Force came and arrested him."
Naruto laughed. "People like that are idiots. Uncle Torikaze said it before—being a ninja is just a profession, like how your father is a factory supervisor and my dad is the Hokage."
Rock Lee did not respond. Although he believed his father was no worse than a ninja, he did not think his father held the same status as Lord Hokage.
It was Lord Hokage who had made Konoha so powerful and given his family such a happy life.
In his eyes, Konoha's Hokage were the people with the highest status!
"By the way, are all of you ninja?" Rock Lee asked.
Naruto shook his head. "Not yet. I haven't started training, but my uncle said I'll definitely become a ninja."
Rock Lee was somewhat surprised. If Lord Torikaze had said so, then it was certainly true.
"My sister and I haven't trained either, but we've both awakened the Byakugan, so we have talent for becoming ninja."
Rock Lee took another deep breath. As expected of a great clan.
"Then... is it possible for me to become a ninja?"
