The overwhelming flames terrified the four Kage out of their wits. They immediately used their strongest Water Release techniques to defend themselves, constantly combining their attacks to make their ninjutsu even more powerful.

They hoped this would give them the strength to withstand the raging inferno.

Unfortunately, when those Water Release ninjutsu met the flames, they were initially able to hold them back.

The collisions even produced vast amounts of steam.

But they only held out for a mere two minutes.

Chisato's immense Chakra reserves, combined with the fire-boosting toad oil, successfully neutralized the enemy's Water Release.

By the time the wave-like flames came crashing toward them, the four Kage no longer had the calm composure they had shown while fighting Jiraiya.

They began fleeing frantically.

They wanted to escape the flames' range, but although they were Kage-level ninja, everyone knew full well how they had obtained that strength.

Their escape could only be described as utterly pathetic.

One of them was not even proficient enough with the Body Flicker Technique and accidentally teleported into midair.

He fell straight to the ground and was swallowed by the sea of flames.

The good news was that the toad oil blocked that Kage-level ninja's heart-rending screams and wails.

The bad news was that he was cooked after only a few cries.

Throughout this, Jiraiya had not made a move. But now, seeing the enemy about to escape the flames' range,

Jiraiya dashed forward and began forming hand seals from a spot beyond the flames' reach. "Earth Release—Yellow Springs Swamp!"

As Jiraiya pressed both hands to the ground, the earth abruptly turned into a swamp without warning!

With no solid ground anchoring them, the trees began to tilt.

This also left the enemies in the trees extremely panicked.

Even their speed dropped considerably.
