"And the peace of the Shinobi World—you fought for all of it. Shishou's achievements are brilliant and indelible, but what you've done has absolutely surpassed Shishou. I don't think anyone in the future will ever surpass you either, unless they save the entire world."

Those words left Torikaze so flattered that he nearly lost his bearings. Still, praise from his own wife made him feel proud no matter what.

And he loved hearing it.

If an outsider had praised him like that, Torikaze would probably have been so embarrassed his toes would claw out a two-bedroom apartment.

"Ha ha, all right, all right. Stop praising me, or I really will get carried away."

Chisato spread her hands and said casually, "But isn't it simply the truth?"

"All right, since you're about to float away, I won't praise you anymore. There's nothing going on right now, so I'm going to take a look around the streets. You rest at home by yourself."

Chisato did not ask Torikaze to go shopping with her. He had already been exhausted that morning, and she felt sorry for him, so she could handle shopping on her own.

She had only wanted to buy some little toys to bring back for Hogen anyway. It was nothing important.

After Chisato left, Torikaze sat quietly alone on the sofa. The battle that morning had indeed exhausted him, and he had consumed a great deal of Chakra.

Although he had recovered by now, he was still mentally fatigued.

"Hmm, the battle is over. Logically, the system should have notified me that the event was completed. Why hasn't it said anything yet?"

Torikaze muttered to himself. Perhaps because of his urging, or perhaps merely by coincidence—

the system actually spoke.
