Tai City.
Fang Yi was somewhat speechless. Only after getting this communicator did he realize it had so many buttons, leaving him momentarily bewildered.
He had been listening to the voice on the other end the whole time, yet he could not respond, irritating him to no end.
Black clouds churned overhead, darkening the sky as an oppressive pressure bore down upon him, while he maintained his full-speed advance.
Boom! Boom! Boom!
Amid rolling thunder, shadowy figures crashed to the ground one after another, releasing waves of burnt stench.
Lightning surged in Fang Yi's palm.
After dealing with the bats blocking his path, he did not pause in the slightest and raced straight toward Central Plaza.
"Y-you're a Pioneer in Tai City, aren't you? Can you... take down the King?"
After a long while, the female Liaison Officer finally responded. Her voice trembled with despair.
It was not that she doubted Fang Yi's strength. His earlier words had simply been far too shocking.
"What else? Can the Spirit Association do it?"
Fang Yi's retort left her speechless.
That was right. They had already failed.
The Spirit Association had suffered a crushing defeat in its first battle, ending in utter disarray. The blow to them had been immense.
"If you don't want Tai City to be destroyed and turned into food for the Aberrants, then have every Liaison Officer connect with me. Use all the equipment and information you currently have to assist me."
His clear, calm voice came through the communicator.
The Liaison Officers all looked despondent.
Most of them were locals of Tai City. This was their home, where their families lived. They did not want to see their home fall and be forced to flee from their homeland.
Just as everyone struggled internally, a voice suddenly spoke.
"Alright."
