Feng Ye narrowed his eyes slightly and calmly headed toward the only shop still open in the village. It was a teahouse, and it looked rather deserted inside.
The teahouse owner was somewhat surprised to see a customer, but after seeing Feng Ye take out a large sum of money, he quickly served tea and snacks.

Several pairs of eyes watched Feng Ye enter the teahouse.
After his expression flickered uncertainly, one of them quickly vanished into the rain. He arrived at a small house in the northern part of the village, leaped directly to the second floor, and climbed in through a window.
"Boss... a ninja has arrived."
"A ninja?"
A scar-faced man sitting cross-legged in the room opened his eyes and asked in a deep voice, "What kind of ninja?"
"He's young, probably only twelve or thirteen. He isn't wearing a forehead protector. He might be from Amegakure, or he could be from another village. He doesn't look like a rogue ninja."
The scar-faced ninja narrowed his eyes. "He's alone?"
A ninja barely in his teens had suddenly appeared in the village without a forehead protector. There was no doubt that it warranted caution.
The subordinate nodded, a cold glint flashing in his eyes. "Yes. We don't know whether he's noticed us... Boss, should we strike first and get rid of him?"
"No."
The scar-faced ninja shook his head and said gravely, "Notify everyone. We're leaving this place."
The subordinate froze in astonishment.
It was only an unfamiliar young ninja. They did not even know whether he had come for them, or whether he had noticed them at all. Yet they were going to evacuate everyone? Wasn't the boss being overly cautious?
The scar-faced ninja stood up, his gaze flickering. "Go, now!"
