Arrival in the Albares Empire

"Watch out!"

"That's no ordinary child! Use the cannons, quickly!"

A pirate shrieked.

Cannons were pushed out on the pirate ship and aimed in Wendy's direction.

Watching this, Wendy spread her arms, tilted her cute little head toward the sky, and took a deep breath as though she were swallowing the heavens. Then she puffed out her cheeks and assumed the pose of a roaring dragon.

"Sky Dragon's... Roar!"

Boom!!!

A vast torrent of air surged forth, stretching hundreds of yards like a vortex. It struck the incoming cannonball head-on, crushing it to pieces, then slammed into the pirate ship itself, blasting the entire vessel apart.

Even the sea beneath it caved in from the blow, forming a massive crater nearly a thousand yards across. For a time, seawater raged and roared, spraying water high into the sky.

The captain, first mate, knights, and everyone else stood frozen, staring at Wendy in disbelief.

If not for the icy, very real spray raining down from the sky, they would never have believed that such a tiny body could contain such terrifying power.

The remaining pirates aboard the ship were utterly terrified, their bodies stiff. Someone let out a shriek, then jumped overboard with a splash.

The others snapped awake as if from a dream and fled in panic. One after another, they jumped into the water, grabbed wooden planks, and desperately paddled away.

Seeing all the pirates flee in disarray, Wendy finally let out a breath of relief.
