Seeing the imperial soldiers closing in around her, Wendy was momentarily at a loss. Although she knew Feng Ye was outside and was not truly panicked, she was still flustered after messing things up.

However, she reacted quickly. After scrambling to her feet, she flicked her little hand and cast a speed-enhancing spell on herself, then nimbly leapt into the air.

As a Sky Dragon Slayer Mage, Wendy was naturally quite agile. With a spell enhancing her speed and dexterity, the little girl soared into the sky with a single jump, arcing through the air as she fled toward the outside of the Imperial Intelligence Office.

But this was, after all, the Imperial Intelligence Office. The soldiers guarding it were no ordinary people; all of them were Mages, and quite a few were powerful ones. Even the guard captains were comparable to S-Class Mages from the Ishgar Continent.
