"Grandpa, I want some time alone."
Qian Renxue calmed down somewhat under Qian Daoliu's comfort. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed a small figure approaching. Finding it difficult to face him, she softly said something to Qian Daoliu.
"Child, go get some rest first."
Qian Daoliu nodded. Qian Renxue stepped away from the angel statue in the main hall, leaving only her back to Yan, who had just arrived.
"Greetings, Grand Elder."
Yan came before the angel statue and bowed respectfully to Grand Elder Qian Daoliu, who wore gray robes and had black hair, looking like a young man.
Qian Daoliu looked down at him. Only after a long while did he sigh. "To be honest, it is hard for me to imagine that Bibi Dong told you everything. Before you came into contact with Xue Er, I never imagined that a seven-year-old child would be the one to affect everything."
"Teacher did not actually tell me these things. I investigated them myself and uncovered some clues. Just as I told Qian Renxue, sometimes the truth is actually very easy to discover."
Yan gave Qian Daoliu a reasonable "truth." After hearing it, Qian Daoliu's gaze shifted slightly, and the way he looked at Yan became more inscrutable.
Qian Daoliu said blandly, "You have a lot of nerve. I thought Bibi Dong had sent you specifically, but it seems you are acting on your own initiative. Aren't you afraid?"
Yan replied to Qian Daoliu, "I think you will help me, Grand Elder. After all, like me, you hope they can move beyond that part of the past. Whether it is Qian Renxue or Bibi Dong, neither can let the other go, and both need to look forward."
Qian Daoliu fell silent. Yan's reasoning had struck his weak point.
