Dragon City had been exceptionally lively lately. Aside from its own immense prosperity and constant flow of people, envoys from every race had been continually arriving, along with a piece of news that had spread far and wide.

The three great empires were preparing to forge an alliance and put an end to the days of occasional war and border standoffs. Naturally, this was excellent news.

Although the Dragon God Empire had Strull Fortress guarding its border and no flames of war had ever risen within its territory, every conflict with the orcs and demons left countless soldiers dead or wounded, and many families hung white mourning banners.

This unstable peace had left many people on edge. The provinces and cities along the border especially had developed a martial culture, all in the name of preserving peace.

Thus, once the news spread, discussions erupted everywhere, from the imperial capital Dragon City all the way to Skrull Fortress.

On a street in Dragon City, near Duke Zifeng's Residence, stood an enormous manor with a constant stream of visitors entering and leaving these days. It was the residence Lei Xiang had found in Dragon City. His mother had once shared a relationship with Duke Zifeng, though Lei Xiang himself disapproved of such matters.

Lei Xiang's mother was the younger sister of the current emperor of the Dragon God Empire. Though this identity could not openly be acknowledged, they had still found an opportunity to recognize one another, which led to the present three-empire alliance.

On the street outside Lei Xiang's residence, the three sworn brothers—Lei Xiang, Pan Zong, and Gold-Silver—walked openly through the streets. Pan Zong had revealed his snake-man form, while Gold-Silver remained in his two-headed werewolf form.
