Deep within the Great Wilderness, dense purple light enveloped the entire Azure Mountain Range, inside and out. Fierce birds and beasts turned into specks of light and vanished, while figures reappeared one after another in the places that had previously been drenched in blood. Terror still lingered on their faces, their memories frozen at the moment before they encountered the beast tide.
"What kind of... divine ability was this...?"
In the skies above the Azure Mountain Range beneath the purple glow, the other two powerful beings fighting over the Mountain Treasure wore expressions of utter shock. Then everyone saw a burst of intense light sweep across heaven and earth.
"How could there be so many fierce beasts?"
At the entrance to Stone Village, after the intense light faded, everyone gradually regained consciousness. To their astonishment, they discovered countless beast carcasses outside the village, piled into a small mountain.
"Handle all of them and store them as rations. Don't leave the village carelessly for the time being."
A verdant willow branch swayed atop the scorched willow wood, and a voice rang in the ears of Stone Village's people. It was the Sacred Guardian, the Willow Deity, who had only begun speaking some time ago.
"Thank you, Willow Deity."
The people of Stone Village assumed that these fierce beasts had been dealt with by the Willow Deity. They all knelt and kowtowed in thanks, then went to process the mountain of beast carcasses under the command of the old village chief, Shi Yunfeng.
"Grandpa Chief, did you... forget something?"
Before the willow stump, Little Rascal scratched his head. He clearly remembered that the Small Pagoda in Uncle Stone Statue's arms had released purple light and swept all these fierce beasts over. Everyone had seen it too, yet they seemed to have forgotten.
