Now, Magic Herbs Trading Companies lined every street, and Half-Elf gatherers carrying Magic Herbs could be seen everywhere.

For a city as prosperous as Padesto City, traffic congestion had become a major problem restricting its development.

Fortunately, elves did not particularly like building houses in forest clearings. Aside from the shops, most wooden houses were built atop the trees. In truth, Padesto City's roads extended in every direction...

There were simply too few broad roads suitable for carriages.

Roy met Berkeley in a treehouse tea room. From there, they could overlook more than half of Padesto City's new district. The old district lay on the other side of the valley. Though it was a valley, the terrain was quite gentle, and lush giant-tree forests grew everywhere.

The old district had expanded around a Tree of Life, while the new district stood on the hillside opposite it. The two districts were tightly connected, with a creek running along the valley floor serving as the clearest boundary between them.
