Commander Berkeley said,
"No one wants to believe what you're saying! Everyone would rather believe that something must have happened between you and Christine. Otherwise, Earl Swynborne would have had no reason to recommend you as Rampart Town's acting governor."

Roy glared at Commander Berkeley and snapped,
"I was the legion's guide at the time. It's not like you didn't know that!"
Commander Berkeley spread his hands. "What good does it do that I know? I explained it to them, but they didn't believe me. They only believe what they want to hear..."
Roy slapped his forehead and said helplessly,
"How did this end up getting pinned on me too?"
Commander Berkeley said with a laugh,
"Haha, you probably have no idea. Over in Buenos Capital, there's enough talk about you to write an entire Ranger Biography..."
