938. Trouble
As Roy passed through the market, he noticed that most of the stalls were run by orcs. He hardly saw any Gray Dwarf vendors.
Roy asked Old Luke:
"Why can't I see any Gray Dwarves in the market?"
Old Luke pointed at the Stone Houses along the edge of the market. They stood against the cliff face, matching the style of the suspended houses built into the cliffs and blending into them as one.
Only after Roy moved closer did he see that the Gray Dwarves' shops were simply Stone Houses, neatly maintained and steeped in dwarven architectural style.
There were not many of these houses. Some were even locked, and only three shops had their doors open, with barely any goods on their shelves.
"These are the Gray Dwarves' shops."
Old Luke led Roy past many stalls and pointed at those Stone Houses.
"But these shops rarely open. The goods they supply us are always intermittent."
"...Of course, we can understand that. They're at war over there, after all! I heard their homeland is nearly completely occupied."
As Old Luke spoke, an orcish look of smug satisfaction appeared on his face. The wrinkles on his face bunched together, revealing a sharp tooth.
Roy felt that Old Luke was well-informed, so he continued asking:
"Luke, do you support the Gray Dwarves in the war at Durag's Knee?"
Old Luke immediately nodded and answered without hesitation:
"Of course we give them some support. With those Gray Dwarves blocking the north of Black Gold Mountain, those dark invaders won't reach Mensa Plain."
After saying that, Old Luke remarked proudly:
"Our Orc Tribe has actually sent quite a few troops to Durag these past years. Fighting on Gray Dwarf land is still better than fighting on Mensa Plain."
