Roy learned from Gray Dwarf prisoners of war that the Gray Dwarves native to Durag's Knee had already been driven by the Dark Legion to Valeria Valley on the West Coast. That was the Gray Dwarves' last patch of untainted land on Durag's Knee.
The Nakma Demons' Black Knights had planted the banners of Abyss Hell across most of Durag's Knee.

Of them, four hundred thousand lived in Presit City, another nearly eight hundred thousand Gray Dwarf Populace had gathered in the coastal city of Boles City, while the remaining eight hundred thousand Gray Dwarves were scattered throughout the more than four-hundred-kilometer-long narrow valley.
Some Gray Dwarves had also fled to Frozen Soil Island and the Black Gold Mountains.
The Gray Dwarves' territory had been reduced to Valeria Valley, wedged between those two mountain ranges.
