Ch. 681Sun Island Bay

Roy returned to Sun Island Bay with three thousand priests from the Holy Knight Order and saw how the Half-Elves had built a thriving town and fishery. After arranging a place for the priests to settle, he reunited with Sabrina, who described the Griffon Cavalry’s recent explorations and a dangerous wetland inhabited by Three-Headed Sea Serpents.

  • Roy and the priests passed through Plateau City, then continued by Magic Airship to Sun Island Bay.
  • Roy learned from Commander Tiprado that the Half-Elves had built a town and Fishery Workshop, with more than two hundred and seventy Flying Fish Boats supplying the bay.
  • Roy asked Commander Tiprado to set aside land for the three thousand priests and told Commander Jerome to respect the elves’ customs.
  • Sabrina returned with the Griffon Cavalry, and Roy met her at the dock before they walked along the beach together.
  • Sabrina told Roy that her cavalry had found a wetland near Blackwater Swamp where Three-Headed Sea Serpents lived, making further exploration too dangerous.

Ch. 682Sun Island Bay 2

Roy visited Sun Island Bay, where Sabrina had risen to command in the Griffon Cavalry Regiment and Ailis revealed an extraordinary affinity for holy light and divine magic. He returned to Plateau City after Commander Helik wrote that the Half-Elf Rebel Army had reached the Northern Icefield with many Highland Slaver prisoners to deal with.

  • Roy discussed Sabrina’s life as a Griffon Cavalry commander and instructor, and she teased him about Lia and Ailis before hearing about Ailis’s condition in the Dark Land.
  • Commander Jerome discovered that Ailis’s Sacred Body radiated holy light that restored his power when he stood near her.
  • Ailis learned the Strength Blessing prayer and formed its divine rune after only a brief lesson from Commander Jerome.
  • Roy helped Commander Jerome settle 3,000 human Priests in Sun Island Bay, where they gained the Half-Elves’ goodwill by respecting their customs.
  • Roy left for Plateau City after receiving Commander Helik’s letter about the Rebel Army’s advance to the Northern Icefield and its Highland Slaver prisoners.

Ch. 683Plateau City

Roy returned to Plateau City and agreed to take in Highland Slaver prisoners of war in exchange for supplies, despite the city’s overcrowded camp. The Silver Moon Elf commanders also headed to City Hall to ask Roy for help keeping their mines operating.

  • Roy arrived at Plateau City with Lia and Ailis, where Mulin welcomed him and brought him to City Hall.
  • Mulin told Roy that Commander Helik planned to leave the Highland Slaver prisoners of war unfed unless Plateau City took them in, and that the camp held at least fifteen thousand prisoners.
  • Roy ordered Mulin to tell Helik to escort the prisoners to Plateau City and said the city would exchange supplies for them.
  • Lia and Ailis explored Plateau City, where Lia spotted Metal Ingots packed in Wooden Boxes and another Magic Airship waiting to dock.
  • Three Silver Moon Elf Guard Regiment commanders left their inn and went to City Hall to ask Roy for help with their struggling mines.

Ch. 684Refusal

Roy refused the three Silver Moon Elf commanders’ offer to hand over their profitable Kaltim silver mines in exchange for a share of future profits. After they left, Roy summoned Mulin and began writing a notice.

  • Commander Talista complained about being kept waiting at Plateau City Hall, while Commander Carlos urged him to stay calm.
  • Commander Carlos proposed that Roy take over the three Kaltim silver mines and give the Seventeenth Silver Pegasus Legion its share plus a quarter of the remaining profits.
  • Roy declined, citing a lack of manpower and his plans to restore mines in the Nikoba Mountain Range.
  • The three Silver Moon Elf commanders left disappointed, and Roy ordered his adjutant to invite Mulin over.
  • Roy took out a Quill Pen and began writing a notice on parchment.

Ch. 685Announcement

Roy announced equal rights for all elves in Pagisto Plateau, prompting a mass arrival of Half-Elves and overwhelming Plateau City. Qian Ning Sitney arrived amid the crowded market, carrying Mithril Ingots and hoping to meet Roy as she read his notice.

  • Roy posted a notice welcoming all elves to Pagisto Plateau and declaring them equal, including Half-Elves.
  • Roy inspected the overcrowded Prisoner of War Camp, decided to build a new camp north of the Tollai River, and praised the Half-Elven cooks for providing good meals.
  • Roy's notice changed trade in Plateau City, while Silver Moon Elf merchants who protested in Padesto City found they could no longer do business there.
  • Nearly one hundred thousand Half-Elves traveled to Plateau City within a month, crowding its streets and markets.
  • Qian Ning Sitney arrived with carts of Mithril Ingots to discuss rebuilding the Nikoba Mountain Range mines and read Roy's notice with delight.

Ch. 686Exploring the Nikoba Mountain Range

Roy assigned Qian Ning to survey the abandoned Mithril Mines in the Nikoba Mountain Range and prepare a report on restoring them. Meanwhile, he assembled a fleet and troops for an expedition west along Sun Island Bay, leaving the story on the eve of departure.

  • Roy asked Qian Ning to inspect the Nikoba Mountain Range’s abandoned mines and assess whether they could return to operation.
  • Qian Ning agreed and offered to map her route, while Roy explained that he planned to explore west along the coastline.
  • Qian Ning left Plateau City with sixty Half-Elf guard warriors and twenty-four Griffon Cavalry after Roy confirmed that the Highland Slavers had been driven from the region.
  • Roy gathered six thousand Half-Elf guard warriors, one thousand Griffon Cavalry, and eight Magic Airships at Sun Island Bay for the coastal expedition.
  • Roy prepared Whaling Ballistas and other supplies as the Magic Airships descended into the water near the docks before departure.

Ch. 687Miss Tiffany's Best Friends

Roy welcomed Moira, Miss Tiffany, and the others to Sun Island Bay before preparing a heavily armed fleet for an expedition westward. Miss Tiffany visited Jiezena to warn her of the fleet's route, and Jiezena angrily revealed the deep-sea threats ahead before telling them to go if they wanted to die.

  • Moira and Miss Tiffany arrived at Sun Island Bay, where Moira reunited with Sabrina and greeted Roy.
  • Roy introduced Ailis and Lia to his companions and explained that the fleet would travel west along the coast without entering the Wind Stream Layer.
  • The crew assembled Whaling Ballistas aboard eight Magic Airships, while Roy said he was bringing roughly seven thousand guards to train during the expedition.
  • Miss Tiffany visited Jiezena and told her the fleet would pass through her territory the next morning.
  • Jiezena refused to help but revealed that Mottomaya's nest lay farther into the inner sea and that Sea Beast Priests controlled the waters to the west.

Ch. 688Hunting

Roy led the fleet west along the coast to investigate the dangers beyond Sun Island Bay, where the Griffon Cavalry discovered Wind Serpents in Stone Pillar Forest. He defeated the beasts with archers aboard the hovering Magic Airships and left the fleet pursuing northward with Wind Serpent eggs and corpses as spoils.

  • Jiezena watched Roy's fleet leave Sun Island Bay and returned to the seabed, resigned to letting the expedition face the Western Sea's dangers.
  • After seven days of sailing, Roy's fleet reached Stone Pillar Canyon, where Kaka explained that packs of third-tier Wind Serpents had stopped his earlier exploration.
  • Roy ordered the nine Magic Airships to hover over Stone Pillar Forest and positioned Half-Elf archers to attack the Wind Serpents that rose from the canyon.
  • The archers and Griffon Cavalry routed the Wind Serpents, while Kaka and Little Eugene's squadrons fought the ones that broke through the arrow barrage.
  • The Griffon Cavalry pursued the retreating Wind Serpents, found their nests and eggs, and brought the spoils aboard as Roy's fleet continued northward.

Ch. 689690 Flavor

After the Wind Snake hunt, Roy’s fleet continued northwest along the coast while the travelers rested at a cliffside harbor and Roy shared a nostalgic melody with Klayr. Lia then detected faint Darkness Qi in the sea breeze and climbed onto the ship’s lookout platform to investigate.

  • The Griffon Cavalry finished hunting Wind Snakes in the Stone Pillar Forest, processed the corpses, and returned the Magic Airships to sea.
  • Roy led the fleet northwest, avoiding the territory of the Sea Beast Priests and stopping at a coastal Safe Harbor for the night.
  • Roy encouraged Klayr to listen to nature and hummed a melody he named “Love Across Time and Space.”
  • Lia told Ailis she wanted to join Roy’s Adventure Group, but they worried they had not been able to help him.
  • Lia smelled faint Darkness Qi in the ocean breeze, opened the cabin window, and climbed onto the Lookout Platform.

Ch. 690Sea Storm

Lia and Ailis helped the Half-Elf crew defeat a Dark Faceless One, prompting Roy to warn that the creature’s presence could signal a passage to the Dark Land and a wider threat. The fleet continued northwest, where a sea storm forced it into a fjord just as the storm arrived and flash floods began.

  • Ailis warned Lia not to attack the approaching Dark Faceless One alone, then used holy light to alert the airships and expose it.
  • The Dark Faceless One charged onto the ship, where Lia, Ailis, and the crew fought it until Sabrina arrived and beheaded it with her twin swords.
  • Roy told the captains and officers that the Dark Faceless One belonged to one of the Dark Four Legions and that its presence could indicate a passage to the Dark Land beneath the sea.
  • Roy and Lia searched the coastline, but the fleet found no further trace of the creatures and continued northwest under heightened watch.
  • In the third week, Sabrina spotted a vast sea storm, and Roy’s fleet sheltered in a fjord as the storm brought heavy rain and flash floods.

Ch. 691Sea Siren

Roy and Moira climbed a mountain above the fjord while a young sea siren secretly followed them, fearing they would discover her people’s hidden shelter. The siren failed to cross the steep cliff, leaving Roy and Moira at the summit and unaware of her pursuit.

  • After the storm, Roy invited Moira to climb the mountain while Sabrina stayed behind for patrol duty.
  • Klayr completed and played Roy’s sorrowful composition, and Roy praised his work.
  • Ailis discovered that her presence helped nearby Half-Elf warriors absorb Holy Light Particles and recover their Holy Light Power.
  • A young sea siren followed Roy and Moira ashore because she feared they might find the sea sirens’ hidden refuge beyond the mountain.
  • Roy and Moira climbed the wet cliffs together and reached the summit, while the sea siren became stranded below and searched for a way down.

Ch. 692693 Fierce Battle

Roy and Moira discovered Dark Faceless Ones emerging in a hidden fjord and alerted the fleet, whose Griffon Cavalry drove them back from shore. Roy trapped the creatures in the fjord and brought the Magic Airships in to attack them underwater with Whaling Ballistas.

  • Roy and Moira spotted Dark Faceless Ones approaching the shore in a secluded fjord, and Roy fired an orange distress signal.
  • Sabrina led Griffon Cavalry to the fjord, where their diving attack killed dozens of Dark Faceless Ones and drove the rest underwater.
  • A young sea demon climbed toward the mountaintop to stop the battle but arrived after the Griffon Cavalry had attacked.
  • Roy surveyed the fjord, blocked its only exit with Griffon Cavalry, and summoned the nine Magic Airships because the riders could not attack the creatures underwater.
  • Roy ordered the crew to uncover and aim the Whaling Ballistae, and an Elven Guard fired a massive bolt into the fjord.

Ch. 693Sea Beast Priest

Roy’s fleet and the sirens fought off nearly two hundred Dark Faceless Ones, confirming that a Dark Legion had invaded the Pattington Plane. Roy then sailed northwest, while the sirens prepared to seek help and another Sea Beast Priest faced a much larger enemy force in the Western Sea.

  • The Dark Faceless Ones attacked Roy’s nine Magic Airships from underwater, but Sabrina and the Griffon Cavalry struck them as the ships rose above the sea.
  • The sirens joined the battle, and the elves and sirens annihilated nearly two hundred Dark Faceless Ones, though both sides suffered casualties.
  • Roy collected more than two hundred Black Magic Cores, then ordered the fleet to leave the fjord without meeting the sirens.
  • Aoya and another siren found the elves gone and decided to seek help and move somewhere safer.
  • Sea Beast Priest Latimore was described as trapped on a small island after losing a challenge and suffering dark-magic backlash, while another Sea Beast Priest prepared to face tens of thousands of Dark Faceless Ones in the Western Sea.

Ch. 694Eve of the Naval Battle

Miss Tiffany and Moira discussed their relationship with Roy as Roy’s fleet explored Pattington Plane. Miss Tiffany and Sabrina discovered that the fleet had reached the edge of a vast battle between the Siren Legion and the Dark Faceless One Legion.

  • Miss Tiffany asked Moira about her growing closeness with Roy, and Moira admitted they had kissed but had not gone further.
  • Roy ordered the fleet to stop after Griffon Cavalry reported strange waters ahead, and Miss Tiffany and Sabrina went to investigate.
  • Miss Tiffany swam ahead and found thousands of Sirens and tens of thousands of Angler Cavalry facing ink-black water.
  • Miss Tiffany realized she had reached the battlefield’s edge and retreated through the reefs.
  • Sabrina spotted the Siren Warriors from above and led the Griffon Cavalry back toward the fleet, leaving six Griffon Knights hidden in the clouds to watch.

Ch. 695Sea Battle (Part 1)

The Dark Faceless Ones attacked a siren army, using blackened water to turn the battle in their favor. A Sea Beast Priest and his enormous Devil Fish drove them back, but the seafloor erupted with gigantic tentacles that pierced the Devil Fish.

  • Thousands of Dark Faceless Ones advanced toward the sirens and overwhelmed the Fishmen Monsters with Dark Shadow Bombs and tentacles.
  • Anglerfish cavalry charged with a powerful current, crushing many Dark Faceless Warriors among rocks and coral.
  • Siren Warriors attacked the survivors, but black water spread across the battlefield, strengthening the Faceless Warriors and allowing them to counterattack.
  • A Sea Beast Priest rode a massive Devil Fish into battle, diluted the black water, and led the sirens in driving the Dark Faceless Ones toward the seafloor.
  • The Devil Fish pursued the retreating warriors, but enormous tentacles rose from the seafloor and pierced its body.

Ch. 696Sea Battle (Part 2)

The Dark Faceless Ones defeated the Siren Legion beneath the sea, and the retreating sirens were battered ashore by a massive wave. Roy and Sabrina seized the chance to attack the weakened Faceless Warriors, giving the Siren Warriors time to recover.

  • The Faceless Overlord dragged the Devil Fish underwater, killed it, and gravely wounded the Sea Beast Priest through their Magic Contract.
  • The Siren Legion fled toward the coastline under a huge wave, which swept Siren Warriors and Faceless Warriors onto the shore.
  • Roy ordered the Magic Airships to attack the Dark Faceless Ones with Whale Hunting Ballistas, while Sabrina led Griffon Cavalry in repeated diving assaults.
  • The Griffon Cavalry and airships devastated the weakened Faceless Warriors on the beach and bought the Siren Warriors time to regain consciousness.

Ch. 697Alliance

Roy helped the Siren Legion defeat the Dark Faceless Ones and healed the Sea Beast Priest, securing the Sirens’ alliance. He returned to Sun Island Bay with the fleet to warn the Elves and prepare for the Faceless Legion’s possible advance, while Miss Tiffany warned Jiezena that the enemy might be coming.

  • The Sirens and Roy’s air fleet drove the Dark Faceless Ones back into the sea, and the Sea Beast Priest fought until the battle ended.
  • Roy healed the wounded Sea Beast Priest with Holy Light, and the priest accepted Roy’s goodwill and agreed to cooperate against the invaders.
  • The Sea Beast Priest offered Roy a beautiful Siren, but Roy declined and flew back to the Magic Airship on Kaka’s griffon.
  • Roy took the nine Magic Airships back to Sun Island Bay by a cautious low-altitude route, then ordered them to sail toward the bay at full speed.
  • Jiezena dismissed the returning fleet, but Miss Tiffany warned her that a Dark Faceless One Legion had defeated a Siren Legion and might threaten the area.

Ch. 698The Holy Knight Order Joins

Roy learned that the Dark Faceless One Legion had invaded the Western Sea and began arranging defenses and support for the Siren Legion. The Holy Knight Order requested to join the war, while Roy prepared to return to the Elf Continent and left Plateau City in Mulin’s care.

  • Jiezena learned that the Dark Faceless One Legion had appeared in the Western Sea and swam there to investigate, hoping to pursue her advancement now that Lord Commander Latimore was dead.
  • Roy told Tiffany he planned to report the invasion to the military and privately support the Siren Legion, then handed Sun Island Bay’s defense to Commander Tiprado and ordered new fortifications.
  • Jerome asked Roy for permission to bring the Holy Knight Order into the war and proposed assigning Priests to support the Half-Elf Mine Guard Regiment with divine arts and Holy Light Art.
  • Roy warned Mulin about the invasion, requested Whaling Ballistae and giant bolts, and ordered her to let new Highland Slaver prisoners choose whether to work rather than forcing them.
  • Roy left Plateau City under Mulin’s care and boarded a Magic Airship with Moira, Tiffany, Woods, and Klayr, while Lia and Ailis stayed at Sun Island Bay.

Ch. 699Earl's Support

Roy traveled through Padesto City to Queen Island and informed Earl Swynborne that he had found the Dark Faceless One Legion fighting the Siren Legion in the Western Sea. Swynborne ordered Roy to return to the Pattington Plane, monitor the threat, and submit a report, while agreeing to help him obtain military supplies.

  • Roy visited General Berkeley in Padesto City, discussed the growing Half-Elf population and the Elder Council's investigation, and revealed that he had found traces of the Dark Faceless One Legion in the Western Sea.
  • Roy sailed from Pattington Island to Queen Island aboard a supply ship, which traveled at night to avoid Gray Dwarf Bandits.
  • Roy requested an appointment with Earl Swynborne and met with him the following morning at the Silver Pegasus headquarters.
  • Earl Swynborne warned Roy that investigations into him had intensified and instructed him to return to the Pattington Plane and keep watch over Pagisto Plateau.
  • Roy told Swynborne about the Dark Faceless One Legion; Swynborne ordered him to submit a detailed report and monitor the Legion, then agreed to help him procure military supplies.

Ch. 700Words of Power

Roy traveled to Wopeye City to meet Great Mage Greimus, collect his custom Ice Dragon Leather Armor, and visit inscription master Artis. At Artis's lesson, Roy heard him introduce his research into Words of Power and explain how rune arrangements could give weapons additional magical abilities.

  • Roy used Greimus's Teleportation Pass to travel through Moyobamba to Wopeye City and found Greimus at his home.
  • Greimus showed Roy his magic laboratory and explained that he studied how Magic Runes could be applied in battle.
  • Greimus took Roy to Master Tias's workshop, where Roy tried on a completed set of Ice Dragon Leather Armor that fit him perfectly.
  • Roy and Greimus attended Artis's public class and watched him demonstrate Magic Rune Arrays to junior inscription masters.
  • Artis introduced his research into Words of Power and explained that inscribing a cluster rune array onto a weapon could make it cast lightning.
