"The boss, we'll reach our destination in another three hours." A message came from the command room announcer through the tablet.
"I know." Long Fei replied from his bed.
Long Fei got up, washed up, and changed into a purple-black trench coat suit.
Long Fei arrived at the command room.
"Good day, Boss." Everyone in the command room greeted Long Fei in unison.
Looking out the window, Long Fei saw the outline of the Colony Satellite and knew they would enter its port in a little over an hour.
Long Fei's fleet had also drawn the attention of the country's military, which dispatched a Defense Force fleet to investigate. The command room announcer immediately transmitted the authorization documents to the investigating fleet's flagship.
After reviewing the authorization documents in the flagship's command room, the captain immediately allowed them to pass.
"Captain, what country's military is that? I've never seen an MS Carrier like that before," the adjutant beside him asked.
"That isn't any country's military. It's a mercenary group's fleet."
Everyone in the command room looked at the captain, every face plainly showing disbelief.
"You've all heard of the Sea Wolf Pirate Group, haven't you? That notorious pirate group that had been infamous for years was wiped out by the mercenary group before us. That group is called the Skywing Mercenary Group."
"Captain, I've heard of the Skywing Mercenary Group. They have a type of MS called Gundam, right? I heard they wiped out the Sea Wolf Pirate Group thanks to those Gundam MS units."
"That's right. Rumor has it that the Gundam MS has the capability to take on a hundred enemies alone. That white MS Carrier probably carries Gundams."
Everyone watched as the Skywing Mercenary Group fleet entered the Colony Satellite's port.
Long Fei boarded his personal luxury car.
The Commander-in-Chief rode in another luxury car.
Armored vehicles escorted both luxury cars from the front and rear.
They drew plenty of curious looks along the way.
The Colony Satellite had an artificial ocean, and Base Seven had been established beside it as a coastal base.
On the way, Long Fei looked at the artificial ocean and Base Seven. Several purchased Universal Ships were docked at Base Seven's harbor. They were warships capable of fighting in space, the sky, and at sea, but their armaments had been sacrificed to accommodate combat in multiple environments.
The mercenaries and GM Mobile Suits at Base Seven had already lined up, waiting for Long Fei and the Commander-in-Chief to arrive.
The mercenaries in the front row wore military uniforms, while the rest wore combat gear and carried rifles.
When Long Fei, Robina, and the Commander-in-Chief stepped out of their cars, the lined-up mercenaries and GM Mobile Suits all saluted in perfect unison.
"Welcome, Boss and Commander-in-Chief."
Long Fei raised a hand, and the mercenaries and GM Mobile Suits lowered their hands and stood at ease.
Colonel Omni, the officer in charge of the branch base, personally received Long Fei and Commander-in-Chief Li Jiaming.
"Colonel, have the mercenaries and GM Mobile Suits return to their posts. There was really no need for such a ceremony." Long Fei instructed Colonel Omni.
After Colonel Omni made several hand signals to the lined-up mercenaries and GM Mobile Suits, they all returned to their posts.
As they walked and talked, Colonel Omni reported several upcoming business policies to Long Fei and Li Jiaming.
"Boss, Commander-in-Chief, there is one more matter I need to report. The Mercenary Guild has sent representatives, and they are waiting for you both in the reception room."
"Hmph. The Mercenary Guild's information network is quite efficient. They knew I would be here today." Long Fei sneered.
"There is another matter I must report to you, Boss." Omni looked somewhat troubled.
"Speak."
"Someone from the Long Group said they are a member of the same family as you, Boss. They said they have something to discuss with you and have arranged a banquet for tonight, insisting that you attend."
Long Fei frowned. The Long Family's information network is certainly efficient. They knew I would come to this Colony Satellite. It isn't hard to guess that they must be coming after my Gundams.
"Ignore the Long Group."
Li Jiaming glanced at Long Fei. He had learned from his nephew that Long Fei had a very poor relationship with the Long Family members.
"Colonel, lead the way. I'd like to see what the Mercenary Guild wants with me."
As Long Fei spoke, he glanced at Li Jiaming. Understanding immediately, Li Jiaming took out a specially made phone and sent several signals.
Along the way, Long Fei also saw receptionists responsible for dealing with clients, discussing business with customers who had come in person.
"Colonel, it's only the first day since Base Seven opened, yet so many clients have come to commission escort work?"
"Thanks to the Boss's good fortune and the Commander-in-Chief's management, the Skywing Mercenary Group now has an excellent reputation across many colonial nations. Basically, no pirate group dares rob the cargo ships we escort. Many pirate groups immediately take a detour when they see our flag and emblem. While we were building the base, quite a few merchants had already designated us for commissions."
Inside the reception room, several people from the Mercenary Guild had arrived. Most wore black suits, while three important members wore expensive clothing. On the left sat Taiga, a young man with long blue hair; on the right sat Gude, a young man with short red hair; in the middle sat Jacob, a middle-aged man with graying hair.
The two young-looking men were actually already over fifty years old.
"The Skywing Mercenary Group has high-performance Gundam MS units, allowing them to rise rapidly and snatch business from many members of our Mercenary Guild." As Taiga spoke, he surveyed the reception room.
"More importantly, the Skywing Mercenary Group's military equipment comes from an arms manufacturer with the same name, and more importantly, both belong to the same boss." While Gude spoke, his gaze slid toward the middle-aged man in the center.
Jacob rested with his eyes closed, showing no emotional reaction.
"By the way, did you see the photos sent to our phones earlier?" Taiga asked the other two.
Jacob slowly opened his eyes and nodded.
"Taiga, say what you want to say directly."
"What I mean is, we have gathered plenty of intelligence on the Skywing Mercenary Group. Their newly developed warships, especially that white MS Carrier, use nothing but Energy Type weapons apart from its missiles. According to my intelligence network, a pirate group that didn't know its place once tried to seize a cargo ship they were escorting. That MS Carrier's main beam cannon ripped apart their modified spacecraft from long range with one shot, piercing straight through two modified spacecraft one behind the other."
Gude's face was filled with shock, while Jacob raised his eyebrows.
Although Jacob showed no obvious expression, turmoil had already risen in his heart.
As far as he knew, that white MS Carrier was called the Albion. From what Taiga had just said about its main cannon's beam firepower, only battleships among many nations possessed such powerful main beam cannons. He had never heard of a fighter carrier or an MS Carrier possessing such a powerful main beam cannon.
Jacob began recalculating how he should deal with the Skywing Mercenary Group.
