"Commander-in-Chief, at present, although our superior Mobile Suits have allowed us to turn our numerical disadvantage into an even match, if the enemy continues committing forces, that balance will be broken," the captain said worriedly to the Commander-in-Chief.

"As long as we can hold out for thirty minutes, victory will be ours." Commander-in-Chief Li Jiaming watched the battle unfold on the screen.

"Damn it, there are just too many of them. We can't kill them all."

"Requesting reinforcements! We're surrounded here!"

"There are too many enemies! They're trying to wear us down with sheer numbers!"

Quite a few Specialized GM Mobile Suits were being pursued and besieged by several Mobile Suits and fighters at once.

One Specialized GM Mobile Suit had lost both legs and one arm. Under the cover of two other Specialized GM Mobile Suits, it was retreating toward its mothership.

But the enemy gave it no chance. Dozens of Mobile Suits and fighters were relentlessly pursuing it.

Although its companions desperately attacked and shot down quite a few enemy Mobile Suits and fighters, many enemy Mobile Suits and fighters were still assigned to besiege those two Specialized GM Mobile Suits.

The remaining Mobile Suits and fighters were pursuing the limbless Specialized GM Mobile Suit with all their strength.

Fortunately, the enemy Mobile Suits and fighters were equipped with short-ranged ballistic weapons. If they had used directed-energy weapons with longer range, the limbless Specialized GM Mobile Suit would no longer have been fleeing under pursuit—it might already have become a heap of scrap metal.

Suddenly, a laser beam swept across the battlefield, tearing apart most of the enemy Mobile Suits and fighters chasing the limbless Specialized GM Mobile Suit.

"You over there, get back to your mothership now. Leave this place to me," Zhou Ya ordered.

Proto Gundam Unit 4 held a laser cannon and helped the other two besieged Specialized GM Mobile Suits break free.

Then, Proto Gundam Unit 4 switched to its Beam Gun and fired a rapid barrage, shooting down seven Harrier MS and Harrier Fighters in total. The rest immediately scattered in all directions.

Seeing the two heavily damaged Specialized GM Mobile Suits on her screen, Zhou Ya immediately ordered them to return to their mothership.

A beam cannon shot streaked past her screen at close range, directly swallowing a Harrier MS.

Zhou Ya knew that beam cannon shot had not been fired by a Specialized GM Mobile Suit, because the Specialized GM Mobile Suit did not possess such weaponry.

A small remote-view window appeared on her screen, showing Gundam White Orchid GP01 and its newly assigned Ace Pilot, Ke Jie Xiong.

Gundam White Orchid GP01 held a shield in its left hand and a beam cannon in its right, with its Beam Gun stored at its rear waist.

A small split-screen window appeared before her.

"Second Lieutenant Ke, what is it?"

"Lieutenant, leave this place to me."

"Fine."

Zhou Ya piloted Proto Gundam Unit 4 toward another combat zone.

"Our 7th MS squad has been wiped out."

"Our 4th fighter squad has been wiped out."

"Our 2nd MS squad has suffered severe casualties. Less than thirty percent remain."

"Our 6th MS squad has lost all signals. They are judged to have been wiped out."

As Commander Meilan listened to the reports from the announcer, the unceasing stream of bad news made her brow furrow tighter and tighter.

She had not expected the Skywing Mercenary Group to be even stronger than the rumors suggested, nor had she expected that their four mercenary groups' four-pronged assault would fail to take them down.

Meilan looked at the photograph of Proto Gundam Unit 7 in her hand. According to earlier reports, a single Proto Gundam Unit 7 had wiped out an entire MS squad.

Meilan asked the announcer, "How many enemy Mobile Suits have we shot down?"

The announcer looked grim but forced herself to answer, "We have shot down a total of six enemy Specialized GM Mobile Suits."

"What?!" Meilan sprang from her seat and cursed furiously, "We outnumber them five to one, yet we've only shot down a mere six of their Mobile Suits? Am I raising a bunch of useless trash?"

The captain beside Meilan could not stand it any longer. "Commander, you can't blame them. It's not just the Gundams—their performance exceeds anything we imagined. Even the Specialized GM Mobile Suits outperform our standard-issue Flying Leopard MS."

After hearing that, Meilan took a deep breath to calm her anger.

At that moment, the announcer delivered news that sent her mood plunging to rock bottom.

"Another Gundam has appeared on our battlefield."

"What is its designation? Did we get an image?"

Before long, the photograph reached Meilan's hands.

The photograph showed Gundam GP02 Physalis, with six rocket launch tubes mounted on its back, a Beam Gun in its right hand, and a shield in its left.

"Have any of our units or allied units broken through the enemy's defenses?"

"At present, several fighters from the Storm Mercenary Group broke through the enemy's defensive line, but they were quickly shot down by the enemy warships and the Specialized GM Mobile Suits assigned to protect them."

"How many Gundams have appeared so far?"

"Six Gundams have appeared so far."

Meilan's brow furrowed even deeper.

"With only six Gundams, they reversed their disadvantage in numbers."

Pani piloted Proto Gundam Unit 7. Although many Flying Leopard MS wrecks surrounded him on the screen, he did not stop fighting.

Quite a few Flying Leopard MS and Cheetah Fighters were still pursuing Pani.

Within mere minutes of entering the battle, Pani had shot down a total of twenty-four enemy Mobile Suits and fighters.

He immediately became an eye-catching target, and the enemy Mobile Suits and fighters promptly marked him as their top-priority target for destruction.

Pani pressed the button for his shoulder-mounted laser cannon, instantly blasting apart four Flying Leopard MS.

His ballistic ammunition had already been exhausted. If Proto Gundam Unit 7 had not been equipped with a Minovsky Super Energy Thermonuclear Reactor, allowing it to continue firing powerful laser cannon shots, it would have run out of power long ago.

"Is this Gundam's energy supply infinite?"

"It's fired so many high-powered laser shots, yet it still hasn't run out of power."

"Watch your surroundings! Those goggle MS are using this chance to attack us as well!"

Quite a few Specialized GMs took advantage of the enemy focusing most of their attention and firepower on Proto Gundam Unit 7. These elite pilots could destroy their targets with a single shot whenever the enemy let their guard down.

Several Beam Rays struck Cheetah Fighters and Flying Leopard MS as Gundam GP02 Physalis arrived beside Proto Gundam Unit 7.

The two Gundams covered each other with gunfire, shooting down many more Flying Leopard MS and Cheetah Fighters in an instant.

"The 1st and 2nd fighter squads have lost all signals."

"The 3rd and 5th MS squads have been wiped out."

Commander Meilan's expression grew increasingly grim. Ever since another Gundam had appeared on her side of the battlefield, her Mobile Suits and fighters had been destroyed one after another like falling dominoes.

"Commander, the Shadow Ghost Mercenary Group has sent an emergency rescue request."

"An emergency rescue request? What happened?"

"One unrecorded Gundam broke through their defensive line."

"A single Gundam broke through their defensive line? Are those people just sitting around doing nothing?"
