Long Fei was aboard a destroyer, accompanied by three other frigates and one transport ship.
Inside the destroyer were three Gundams: the Strike Gundam, GP01Fb, and GP04.
They sailed into a meteoroid field, where the meteors were enormous, the smallest having a diameter exceeding 10 kilometers.
They arrived at a meteoroid with a diameter of nearly 20 kilometers. An old spaceship was landed on it, with two frigates having landed nearby.
The destroyer and transport ship landed next to the old spaceship, while the other three frigates remained above, on standby to watch out for any illegal organizations.
The old spaceship was estimated to be at least 500 meters long, 35 meters high, and 50 meters wide.
One of the frigates that had landed earlier was supplying power to the old spaceship via a cable.
Long Fei, clad in a combat spacesuit, piloted the Strike Gundam equipped with a mobile backpack and entered the old spaceship's hangar.
From the cockpit screen, Long Fei discovered many old work MS and aircraft in the hangar. The hangar lights were dim, with many bulbs not working.
Long Fei opened the cockpit and floated out, finding someone waiting for him.
"Captain Bailieba of the investigation team welcomes you, boss." Bailieba, wearing a spacesuit, saluted Long Fei. The two people behind him saluted as well.
"You've worked hard, Captain Bailieba. What's the progress of your investigation so far?"
"Currently, apart from some electric doors and basic equipment that are still functional, everything else on this old spaceship is broken. It's the same for the work MS in these hangars; they've been activated for a while, but they're either broken or have fallen apart."
"Anything else?"
"We also found some documents, including books and installation record files. Just in case, we've already transferred the installation record files to our devices, and they can be given to you at any time."
"Are all the book documents handwritten?"
"Yes."
"Where did you put them?"
"We put them in a room that is relatively intact and still usable. If you'd like to see them, we can take you there immediately."
"Lead the way."
"This way, boss."
Along the way, Long Fei observed the corridors and equipment, noting that the designs were at least sixty to seventy years old.
"Captain Bailieba, I've read your investigation report. The findings indicated that their engine suffered an explosion. You highly suspect it was due to human negligence, correct?"
"Yes."
"Regarding the extensive damage to the spaceship's communications, navigation, equipment, and sensors, the investigation concluded it was caused by colliding with this meteoroid, is that right?"
"Yes, boss."
"How did you handle the bodies?"
"All the bodies have been placed in a room. Do you have any instructions, boss?"
"No instructions. Just leave them there. The deceased should be respected; let's not disturb their remains any further."
"Understood."
"Did you examine the documents you found?"
"We've gone through them. The written documents have been organized and include the spaceship's flight records, crew diaries, and some of their investigation reports. As for the record files, we haven't organized them yet. We've also placed them in that room. We were planning to have someone organize them first, but then you arrived, boss."
"And the containers, are they all filled with unknown metals?"
"Besides the unknown metals, we also found some special viscous liquids. Although we obtained some information about these substances from some documents, we couldn't understand the technical terms recorded. Perhaps you, boss, can understand the technical terms in their documentation."
"Alright."
They arrived at a relatively spacious room. The lighting inside was quite bright, and it was filled with many written documents. A recording device and a tablet were placed on a table.
Captain Bailieba and his two subordinates placed some important documents and those the boss wanted to see in front of Long Fei.
"Captain, you can go about your business. If you need anything, I'll contact you."
"Yes, boss." Captain Bailieba and his subordinates saluted Long Fei and then left the room.
Currently, Captain Bailieba's crisis investigation team had not yet fully investigated the entire spaceship.
Long Fei looked at some of the investigation report files, which stated that the spaceship was a transport vessel.
In the past, many people had gone to Jupiter to develop it and had built colonies near Jupiter. Besides researching Jupiter's environment, many research groups also studied the environments of Jupiter's moons.
They found some special metals and special liquids on Jupiter's moons. After some research, it was discovered that these special metals and special liquids could be used for various military and industrial purposes.
However, the equipment in the Jupiter colonies could not fully analyze these special metals and special liquids. They only discovered some of their uses through research.
The only way was to transport these special metals and special liquids back to the Earth Sphere or the colony sphere to conduct research with adequate equipment.
What they didn't expect was that the transport spaceship carrying these resources had an accident. The nuclear engine had an accidental explosion, and the leaked nuclear radiation caused severe casualties. To prevent the casualties from spreading, the captain had no choice but to separate the damaged nuclear engine from the spaceship.
The subsequent events recorded in the files were similar to the results of the Skywing Mercenary Group's investigation.
Then, Long Fei continued to read the research materials from when Jupiter was researching special metals and special liquids. The technical terms related to chemistry and materials science were incomprehensible to anyone without a doctorate.
Long Fei was rather special; he already understood these things when he transmigrated. These technical terms were not difficult for him.
As Long Fei flipped through the pages, he saw a photograph and description of a white ore.
"This ore might be a viable substitute material for manufacturing the Solar Furnace. I'll need to study it thoroughly once I bring it back."
Long Fei continued to examine the data on Jupiter's resources, discovering that they were superior to those found in the Earth Sphere or the colonies.
If these resources were utilized, the MS or warships manufactured might even be more powerful than what was recorded in the original data.
"Jupiter, which I haven't had contact with for fifty to sixty years, I wonder how their development has progressed?" Long Fei mused, believing that if Jupiter hadn't experienced any major incidents, their industrial development would at least surpass that of the Earth Sphere and the colonies.
Military strength, however, was harder to say. The advancement of military power sometimes relied on war for validation or stimulation.
