Besides launching Mobile Ballistic Separation High Explosive Missiles, the 2nd Brigade Fleet of the 5th Corps under the 3rd Decisive Battle Army Group sent its MS and Mobile Armor forces charging at the enemy fleet under the missile barrage's cover.

The Sky Wing Mercenaries' 1st Brigade Fleet of the 9th Slaughter Corps not only returned fire with Mobile Drill Missiles and Minov Particle Missiles, but also activated its point-defense systems.

All remaining MS and Mobile Armor units aboard the warships deployed in full force, while some of the MS and Mobile Armor units fighting at the front returned to the warships.

To win through numbers, the Dion Army first sent the people from the former colonial regions, who served as cannon fodder, onto the battlefield to wear down the Sky Wing Mercenaries, while preserving the experienced Dion Army troops until the final stage.
