At night, in one combat zone, quite a few Dion Army MS units came under unknown attack, with no idea where the attacks were coming from.
Even after activating thermal, optical, or night-vision functions, they still could not detect the source of the attacks.
While many Dion Army troops were dealing with the enemy units before them alongside their comrades, the comrades firing beside them suddenly fell silent. On their screens, they saw their allies' machines either pierced through by unknown attacks and collapsing to the ground, or erupting into fireballs.
Worse still, the battlefield was a forest. Violent flames soared all around them, making thermal detection completely useless.
They could only rely on night vision, and some MS units withdrew from the forest.
The MS units that left the forest came under attack from other machines and Mobile Armor units, while aircraft in the sky struck from overhead.

Some Mass-Produced Saint Machines activated their anti-stealth functions. Many pilots assumed that invisible MS units were ambushing them.
Yet the anti-stealth function could not detect any cloaked MS units at all.
Suddenly, flames burst from the chest of a Crimson Saint Machine. Several holes had been punched through its torso, and three darts clattered onto the ground. The lights in its eyes dimmed as it fell backward, all functions lost.
Seeing their comrade struck by an unknown attack, the other mass-produced units immediately adopted a back-to-back formation, each watching a 180-degree arc.
Suddenly, a pair of massive physical blades shaped like scythes sliced a Crimson Saint Machine and an Azure Saint Machine, standing back-to-back, cleanly in half at the waist.
