Background / History

Xiao Wu entered Nuoding Junior Soul Master Academy as the newly recognized boss of the seventh work-study dormitory. She immediately asserted her authority over Tang San and demanded his white quilt because it suited her rabbit Martial Soul, establishing her willful and combative reputation among the work-study students. 6

Her early relationship with Fei was defined by petty rivalry and teasing. She wanted him to address her as “Xiao Wu-jie,” competed with him for recognition, and became upset when her mother’s comb was broken during the dormitory vandalism. Fei took her to Spirit Hall to repair it, and Xiao Wu thanked him despite calling him a narcissist. 7 9 10

When Xiao Chenyu and his followers challenged the work-study students, Xiao Wu revealed her Martial Soul and defeated Xiao Chenyu with overwhelming force. The dormitory students thereafter acknowledged her as their leader. 10 11

Yu Xiaogang offered to take Xiao Wu as a disciple, but she refused without hesitation. Though he stressed the benefits of his guidance, she rejected the loss of freedom that discipleship would entail and believed her accumulated cultivation as a transformed soul beast made such instruction unnecessary. 16

After graduating from Nuoding, Xiao Wu considered Fei’s arrangement for Blazing Fire Academy but agreed to visit Shrek Academy first. On the journey to Suo Tuo City, Dai Mubai insulted her and attempted to seize her by force. Xiao Wu answered by using her Soul Skills to incapacitate him with her Eight-Section Fall. 26 27 28

Her identity was exposed when Gu Rong and Ning Fengzhi targeted her as a valuable soul beast incarnation. After Fei defended her against the pursuing Titled Douluo, Xiao Wu disclosed that she had once been a hundred-thousand-year Soft Bone Enchanting Rabbit and had abandoned her former cultivation to become human. 36 39

Following the exposure, Xiao Wu chose to return to the Lake of Life in the Star Dou Great Forest, where she had lived with her mother and younger brothers, Da Ming and Er Ming. Fei escorted her there despite her earlier insistence that she could manage alone. 40 41 43

Appearance

Xiao Wu is a graceful young woman with pink eyes and long dark hair commonly worn in pigtails or a braid. At Nuoding Academy, she wears pink-and-white clothing and crystal shoes; after possessing her Martial Soul, her appearance gains distinct rabbit traits. 10 25
