Background

Sun Hongyu's mother died long before the present events. Her father later married another woman and had Sun Hongxia, making Hongyu and Hongxia half-sisters born only two months apart. Although Hongyu could not intervene in her father's affairs, she suffered after Hongxia repeatedly manipulated situations at home and caused their father to misunderstand her. 1055 1096 1114

Li Changsheng recalls a novel, Rebirth: I Stole My Sister's Resources, in which Hongyu was portrayed as a talented, diligent cultivator who entered the Dongshan Sect under Immortal Lord Miaoyi. In that account, she discovered the Red Jade Bracelet's portable space, cultivated with its dense Spiritual Energy, and ultimately achieved the Great Dao alongside her fiancé. Hongxia, reborn with knowledge of that future, sought to take Hongyu's resources, fiancé, and eventual fate for herself. 1055

In the current timeline, Hongxia takes Hongyu's fiancé and attempts to seize the Red Jade Bracelet as well. Hongyu rejects both the fiancé and Hongxia's proposed exchanges, declaring that the bracelet was hers first and refusing to surrender it again. 1062
