Ch. 281The Death of Kiba (Part 1)

Shennong used the Sky Ninja to power Angkor Fortress as it flew toward Kirigakure, while Hatake Sakumo was lured into Shimura Danzō’s trap in the Land of Hot Water. After Kakuzu ambushed his team and killed two members, Hatake Sakumo confronted him over the Intelligence Scroll.

  • Shennong divided the Sky Ninja into groups to power Angkor Fortress, which rose into the sky and sped toward Kirigakure.
  • Hatake Sakumo received a sealed scroll from a dying Root Ninja posing as a Konoha spy, unaware that the Kumogakure intelligence inside was fake.
  • Hatake Sakumo killed the Kumogakure Anbu pursuing him, but their captain marked one of his teammates before dying and summoned reinforcements with a signal flare.
  • Hatake Sakumo led his three teammates in flight and killed nearly half the pursuing Kumogakure Anbu during the day.
  • Kakuzu ambushed Hatake Sakumo’s team at night and killed two teammates before Hatake Sakumo returned.
  • Hatake Sakumo charged Kakuzu, who demanded the Intelligence Scroll and offered to spare his life.

Ch. 282The Death of Kiba (Part 2)

Hatake Sakumo abandoned his mission to save his last surviving teammate, then escaped Kakuzu and a Kirigakure Anbu ambush to return to Konoha. After Shimura Danzō turned the village against him and even his son Kakashi Hatake condemned his choice, Sakumo lost faith in the Will of Fire and took his own life.

  • Hatake Sakumo threw the real Intelligence Scroll away to distract Kakuzu, then escaped with his injured teammate.
  • Hatake Sakumo broke through a Kirigakure Anbu ambush at the border and brought his teammate to Konoha Hospital, where the man survived but could no longer be a ninja.
  • Shimura Danzō spread rumors blaming Hatake Sakumo for abandoning the mission, and Root Ninja and the rescued teammate helped turn Konoha against him.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi knew Shimura Danzō was manipulating public opinion but allowed it, while Kakashi Hatake also disapproved of his father's decision.
  • Hatake Sakumo lost faith in the Will of Fire and ended his life at home one week after returning to Konoha.

Ch. 283Kirigakure Year 43

After Hatake Sakumo’s suicide weakened Konoha, Seiji advanced his powers in Kirigakure and oversaw the next generation’s graduation. The year ended with the birth of Otsutsuki Toneri, whose circumstances were far better than they had been in the original timeline.

  • News of Hatake Sakumo’s suicide spread across the shinobi world, bringing the major villages closer to war as Hiruzen Sarutobi and Shimura Danzō argued over his death.
  • Seiji recognized Shimura Danzō’s scheme against Hatake Sakumo and saw Konoha’s loss as a major advantage for Kirigakure.
  • Seiji integrated the Jōgan’s abilities with the Tenseigan and awakened from meditation, leaving him one Fetal Movement away from reaching the Six Paths Level.
  • Mei Terumi, Uzumaki Kana, and Kisame Hoshigaki graduated first, second, and third in their class, with Mei and Kana leading in strength and academics.
  • Otsutsuki Toneri was born to Otsutsuki Tenshin and Otsutsuki Gara with his ancestral bloodline restored, while both parents survived.

Ch. 284Third Fetal Movement! Tenseigan Matures! Six Paths Level!

Seiji completed the Tenseigan’s third and final Fetal Movement, matured his eye, and reached Six Paths Level. He planned to prepare Kirigakure for the coming Great Shinobi War and his eventual God Tree project, while Urashiki Otsutsuki was already approaching the Ninja World.

  • Urashiki Otsutsuki traveled through space toward the Ninja World and was expected to arrive around Hidden Mist Year 44, May.
  • In Hidden Mist Year 44, March, Seiji felt his Tenseigan’s third Fetal Movement begin and transported himself to his Otsutsuki Ruins.
  • Seiji formed three more Truth-Seeking Orbs, bringing his total to nine, and completed the Tenseigan’s final Fetal Movement as the eye matured.
  • Seiji’s bloodline awakened, transformed his body, and raised his strength to Six Paths Level.
  • Seiji judged that the Small Ten-Tails still lacked enough energy to become a God Tree, so he planned to pursue his goals after Kirigakure prepared for the next Great Shinobi War.

Ch. 285The Resurrected Monsters! Reinforcements from the Land of Demons!

Seiji learned that Mouryou and its Ghost Legion were attacking the Land of Demons, so he flew there ahead of the other great ninja villages. After meeting Ao and Taoka near the border, he heard that only the Priestess Shrine remained standing and was asked to save Priestess Miroku.

  • Seiji planned to use his father's Bone Blades to revive Genji and later obtain Yukiko's remains, while waiting for Nagato to master the Rinnegan's life-restoring technique.
  • Ken reported that Mouryou had awakened and that the Ghost Legion and Immortal Ninja Legion were overrunning the Land of Demons.
  • Seiji ordered Ao's ANBU squad to investigate and protect Taoka, then decided to travel to the Land of Demons himself.
  • Seiji reached the Land of Demons ahead of other reinforcements and located Ao, his squad, and Taoka near the southern border.
  • Taoka and Ao told Seiji that only the Priestess Shrine had resisted the invasion, and Taoka begged him to save Miroku.

Ch. 286Tengai Shinsei!

Seiji and Taoka reached the besieged Priestess Shrine, where Seiji confronted Mouryou’s Ghost Legion with a newly mastered Tenseigan technique. He summoned five enormous meteorites, leaving Miroku, her guards, and Taoka stunned as they watched them descend.

  • Seiji learned that the Priestess Shrine might hold out for only ten more days and decided to rescue Miroku before locating Mouryou.
  • Seiji brought Taoka toward the shrine while Ao’s Anbu squad resumed its original mission, and Miroku sensed that fate had changed and foresaw a White Figure destroying Mouryou the next day.
  • Seiji found the shrine surrounded by a Ghost Legion resembling the Terracotta Army and walked toward the soldiers despite Taoka’s alarm.
  • Mouryou noticed Seiji and sent more than a hundred soldiers to attack him as Seiji awakened his Tenseigan and formed three hand seals.
  • Seiji cast Tengai Shinsei and pulled five enormous meteorites from the sky toward the Ghost Legion, astonishing Taoka, Miroku, and the shrine guards.

Ch. 287The Fate of the Priestess and the Mouryou

Seiji destroyed most of Mouryou’s Ghost Legion with Tengai Shinsei and met Miroku, who explained the thousand-year struggle between the priestesses and Mouryou. Miroku revealed that her prophecy showed Seiji destroying Mouryou and began to tell him more about it.

  • Seiji’s five meteorites annihilated most of the Ghost Legion, allowing him and Taoka to reach the Priestess Shrine.
  • Yomi survived the impact with Mouryou’s help, then retreated while vowing to rebuild his armies.
  • Seiji met Miroku, who explained how the priestesses and Mouryou had been bound in conflict for nearly a thousand years.
  • Miroku thanked Seiji for helping defend the Land of Demons and explained Mouryou’s plan to devour her and grow stronger.
  • Miroku told Seiji that her prophecy showed him completely destroying Mouryou, and Seiji asked her to explain further.

Ch. 288The Two Prophecies of Promise and Yomi Getting Beaten

Miroku asked Seiji to destroy Mouryou in exchange for two prophecies, and Seiji agreed before taking her to the Land of Swamps. There, Seiji swiftly defeated Yomi, forcing Mouryou to take control of his body and enter the fight.

  • Miroku explained that her prophecies had never failed, then offered Seiji two full-strength prophecies if he destroyed Mouryou; Seiji accepted.
  • The next day, Seiji flew with Miroku to the Shrine in the Land of Swamps, where Yomi was trying to break the seal on Mouryou's body.
  • Miroku confronted Yomi, then retreated as Seiji prepared to fight him.
  • Seiji used the Jōgan to see Mouryou's soul within Yomi, while Yomi recognized that he had little chance of stopping the Mizukage.
  • Seiji appeared beside Yomi and struck him into the Shrine wall, leaving Yomi badly beaten.
  • Mouryou called Yomi useless, withdrew most of the power sustaining the seal-breaking effort, and took control of Yomi's body to fight Seiji.

Ch. 289The Mouryou, Also Beaten Down

Seiji fought Mouryou, who controlled Yomi’s body, and easily overwhelmed the disembodied fiend with his Six Paths powers. Mouryou’s attacks wounded Yomi instead, and Mouryou began to realize it could not match Seiji without its physical body.

  • Mouryou took control of Yomi’s body and attacked Seiji with purplish-black tentacles.
  • Seiji dodged Mouryou’s attacks, severed one tentacle with a Truth-Seeking Orb sword, and pinned two others to the cave wall with black rods.
  • Mouryou launched more tentacles, but Seiji avoided them and used Shinra Tensei to drive Yomi’s body into Mouryou’s own attacks.
  • Yomi’s body was pierced by Mouryou’s tentacles, making Yomi regain control and lose his immortal trait.
  • Yomi inwardly questioned Mouryou’s strength as Mouryou realized its incomplete, bodiless form was no match for Seiji.

Ch. 290Yomi's Death and the Mouryou's Revival

Mouryou killed Yomi after sensing his thoughts, then used Yomi's corpse to break through the Barrier and reunite with its sealed body. Mouryou revived in its monstrous form as Seiji watched, prepared to face it.

  • Mouryou sensed Yomi's thoughts and killed him by draining his life with purple-black mist.
  • Seiji watched Mouryou kill Yomi and asked whether it had any other tricks.
  • Mouryou threw Yomi's dried corpse at the Barrier, blasting open a gap and letting its soul pass through.
  • Mouryou's soul reached its sealed body, and its purple-black mist shattered the Barrier.
  • Mouryou revived as a tentacled monster, and Seiji looked at it with a darkened expression.

Ch. 291The End of the Mouryou

Seiji defeated the resurrected Mouryou after its attacks failed to breach his defenses, then sealed it in Planetary Devastation and destroyed its core. Priestess Miroku witnessed the victory as Seiji returned to the ground with Mouryou’s remains stored away.

  • Mouryou revived at full strength and attacked Seiji with a barrage of tentacles, but Seiji effortlessly dodged them while magma began flooding the cave.
  • Mouryou unleashed a wide-area attack that collapsed the cave, but Seiji’s Truth-Seeking Orb shield protected him and annihilated the tentacles that struck it.
  • Seiji used Planetary Devastation to imprison Mouryou inside a massive sphere of rock.
  • Seiji activated Tenseigan Chakra Mode and used Golden Wheel Reincarnation Explosion to cleave the sphere and severely wound Mouryou.
  • Seiji located Mouryou’s core and pierced it with two Truth-Seeking Orbs, killing the demon.
  • Seiji stored Mouryou’s remaining body in Takamagahara Space and descended to the ground.

Ch. 292Prophecy

After Seiji destroyed Mouryou, Miroku performed the first of two promised prophecies, foreseeing him fighting a mysterious opponent and appearing amid a cataclysmic disaster. The prophecy left Miroku unconscious, while Seiji identified the opponent as Urashiki Otsutsuki and fed Mouryou’s body to the Small Ten-Tails.

  • Miroku sensed that Mouryou had been completely destroyed and thanked Seiji for ending the Priestess lineage’s thousand-year fate.
  • Miroku performed a prophecy for Seiji, enduring a long ordeal before seeing him fight a hazy figure wielding a red fishing rod.
  • Miroku’s vision shifted to a ten-tailed beast unleashing disasters, then ended when a fatal warning forced her out of her priestess state and knocked her unconscious.
  • After Miroku recovered, she told Seiji what she had seen, and Seiji used Takamagahara to travel to his Otsutsuki Ruins.
  • Urashiki Otsutsuki sensed someone using time-related power to look into the future and increased his speed toward the Ninja World.
  • Seiji fed Mouryou’s prepared body to the Small Ten-Tails and recognized the prophesied fishing-rod wielder as Urashiki Otsutsuki.

Ch. 293Seiji's View

After learning that Urashiki Otsutsuki would soon arrive, Seiji planned to kill him and feed at least half his body to the Small Ten-Tails so it could become a God Tree. Seiji also considered Miroku’s unclear vision of a Ten-Tails unleashing Heavenly Disaster, but set it aside while preparing to face Urashiki.

  • Seiji learned that Urashiki Otsutsuki would arrive soon and saw the Otsutsuki as the chance to accelerate the Small Ten-Tails’ growth.
  • Seiji recalled what Ōtsutsuki Isshiki’s memories revealed about Urashiki’s Chakra Fruits, Tomoe Rinnegan, time-related abilities, and Kekkei Mōra.
  • Seiji judged that he could defeat Urashiki on home ground, while remaining wary of his unknown current abilities and arrogant, careless fighting style.
  • Seiji considered whether the Ten-Tails in Miroku’s second Prophecy Image belonged to his Small Ten-Tails or Kaguya Otsutsuki, but could not identify its owner.
  • Seiji put aside the uncertain prophecy and focused on confronting the approaching Urashiki Otsutsuki.

Ch. 294Gamamaru's Prophecy

Gamamaru received a new prophecy in a dream and urgently summoned Jiraiya to Mount Myōboku to hear it. After preparing to reveal the prophecy, Gamamaru forgot what he had dreamed, leaving Jiraiya and the toad elders without an answer.

  • Gamamaru's past role in guiding Hagoromo Otsutsuki and Otsutsuki Hamura against Kaguya Otsutsuki was recounted.
  • Sage Fukasaku brought Jiraiya to Mount Myōboku after Gamamaru summoned him with a new prophecy.
  • Gamamaru greeted Jiraiya, forgot who he was, and then remembered that he had called him to share a prophecy.
  • Sage Fukasaku told Jiraiya to listen as Gamamaru prepared to speak.
  • Gamamaru forgot the prophecy, leaving Jiraiya, Fukasaku, and Shima stunned.

Ch. 295Urashiki Otsutsuki Arrives

The Great Toad Sage told Jiraiya that a mysterious white figure had changed the shinobi world's future, while Seiji prepared to receive Konoha envoy Minato Namikaze. Urashiki Otsutsuki reached the planet, sensed its abundant energy, and entered Kaguya Otsutsuki's abandoned dimension as he began investigating.

  • The Great Toad Sage revealed that a white figure had altered the prophecy and left Jiraiya unsure whether the Child of Destiny still mattered.
  • After Jiraiya and the sages left, the Great Toad Sage worried that the changed prophecy could bring danger to Mount Myōboku.
  • Hiruzen Sarutobi decided to hold Joint Chunin Exams to deter war, prompting Shimura Danzō to confront him angrily.
  • Hyou told Seiji that Minato Namikaze had arrived as Konoha's envoy, and Seiji assigned the reception to the Foreign Affairs Department with ANBU support.
  • Urashiki Otsutsuki detected the planet's abundant energy, found traces of Kaguya Otsutsuki's aura, and entered her separate dimension to investigate.

Ch. 296Descent

Urashiki Otsutsuki discovered that Kaguya Otsutsuki had betrayed the clan and been sealed on the moon, then attacked Kirigakure’s outpost there. Juzo Biwa fought to protect the workers and relay a warning, ending the chapter with a massive water technique sweeping Urashiki into the air.

  • Urashiki Otsutsuki studied Kaguya Otsutsuki’s scrolls and murals, learned that she had betrayed the clan, and concluded that the Ninja World would be his.
  • Urashiki Otsutsuki recognized the moon as a Planetary Devastation prison and inferred that Kaguya Otsutsuki had been sealed there.
  • Urashiki Otsutsuki reached Kirigakure’s outpost, incapacitated its Anbu guards with Byakugan: Pressure, and exposed Juzo Biwa’s hiding place.
  • Juzo Biwa sent a Water Clone toward the Space Tunnel to warn the Mizukage, then used a clone to test Urashiki Otsutsuki’s ability to absorb ninjutsu.
  • Urashiki Otsutsuki evaded Juzo Biwa’s Water Dragon Bullet Technique and attacked with Ame no Nuboko, but Juzo Biwa’s Water Formation Pillar blocked the fishhooks and swept Urashiki into its torrent.

Ch. 297Seiji and Urashiki

Urashiki Otsutsuki defeated Juzo Biwa on the moon, extracted his chakra, and learned that Seiji was a true Otsutsuki whom he was not authorized to kill. After Juzo’s message reached Kirigakure, Seiji traveled to the moon and confronted Urashiki, who recognized Isshiki’s traces in Seiji’s aura and inferred that Seiji had killed Isshiki and taken his Karma.

  • Juzo Biwa detonated the water around Urashiki, but Urashiki escaped through a spatial portal and struck Juzo with his fishing hook.
  • Urashiki drained Juzo’s chakra, read his memories, and learned about Kaguya’s descendants and Seiji’s Otsutsuki status.
  • Juzo’s Water Clone carried a message to Kirigakure, and ANBU Head Ken reported the moon attack to Seiji.
  • Seiji left the Mizukage Office, traveled through the Space Tunnel, and headed to the moon to face Urashiki.
  • Urashiki sensed Seiji’s arrival and recognized traces of Isshiki in his aura, concluding that Seiji had killed Isshiki and absorbed his Karma.

Ch. 298Battle Between Otsutsuki

Seiji fought Urashiki Otsutsuki outside the town, using Isshiki’s inherited abilities and the Jōgan to counter Urashiki’s techniques. After Seiji wounded him and exposed his Yomotsu Hirasaka escape route, Urashiki attacked with chakra taken from Juzo Biwa, but Seiji revealed a powerful Tenseigan and sent the absorbed chakra back at him.

  • Seiji found that the Anbu and Juzo Biwa were still alive and flew to confront Urashiki Otsutsuki.
  • Seiji attacked Urashiki and sent a Shadow Clone to rescue the fallen Kirigakure shinobi.
  • Seiji overwhelmed Urashiki with enhanced speed, then used black rods and Daikokuten to pressure him.
  • Urashiki used Time Reversal, Shinra Tensei, and Yomotsu Hirasaka to evade Seiji, but Seiji used the Jōgan to anticipate his portal and pierce his shoulder with a black rod.
  • Urashiki hurled a torrent of chakra absorbed from Juzo Biwa at Seiji, who revealed his Tenseigan, absorbed the attack, and returned it with Eight Trigrams: Sky Palm Wall.

Ch. 299Urashiki Flees and Meets Minato

Urashiki Otsutsuki fled after realizing Seiji was too strong to confront, but he planned to return to the shinobi world and pursue its Chakra Fruits. Three days later, Minato Namikaze met Seiji in Kirigakure, where he struggled to gauge the Fourth Mizukage’s overwhelming power while carrying out Konoha’s diplomatic and intelligence mission.

  • Urashiki Otsutsuki decided to conceal the shinobi world’s potential from his clan and harvest its Chakra Fruit, despite lacking a Ten-Tails sapling and being short on chakra pills.
  • Urashiki Otsutsuki escaped Seiji’s attacks through Yomotsu Hirasaka, and Seiji sensed that he had returned to the shinobi world.
  • Seiji identified Urashiki’s destination as his home ground and anticipated welcoming him with a prepared trap.

  • Minato Namikaze secretly assessed Seiji and Kirigakure for Hiruzen Sarutobi, who had sent him after hearing that Seiji defeated Mouryou.
  • Miroku sealed the Priestess Shrine’s members to prevent them from revealing details about Seiji, though reports of his victory over Mouryou had already spread.

Ch. 300The Invitation to the Joint Chunin Exams

Seiji accepted Konoha’s invitation for Kirigakure to enter the Joint Chunin Exams and for him to attend the third round in Konoha. After meeting Minato Namikaze, Seiji sought out Hyou to discuss Hiruzen Sarutobi’s plans.

  • Minato Namikaze apologized to Seiji for his earlier discourtesy and explained that Hiruzen Sarutobi had sent him to Kirigakure on two matters.
  • Seiji read Hiruzen Sarutobi’s letter inviting Kirigakure to participate in the Joint Chunin Exams, and he agreed to send Genin.
  • Minato Namikaze told Seiji that Hiruzen Sarutobi also invited him to attend the third round of the exams in Konoha, and Seiji accepted.
