At night, a nimble, athletic figure clad in black leather slipped into the backyard of Wayne Manor. After a few leaps, she reached the castle, opened a window, and darted inside, prowling through the massive estate.

Ever since their last encounter, Catwoman had known she was no match for Batman. After being thoroughly teased by him, she was still a little afraid of him.

"Actually, the surveillance system detected an intruder the moment you entered Wayne Manor, so I came back," Batman said.

Catwoman froze slightly at Batman's words, not because of what he had said, but because of his voice. This Batman sounded completely different from the one who had teased her that night.

The Batman before her had a deep, steady voice. The Batman from that night had sounded gentle, yet carried a wicked charm.
