On a street in Gotham City, two groups were fighting.
On one side were three women: Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, and Catwoman. These three girls were practically inseparable now.
Opposite them stood two Superpower Users. One wore a skintight suit with a glowing lightning emblem, while the other had transformed into something like a pile of sludge. Both were heroes affiliated with Vought International.
Light-Electric Man and Mud Monster.
Light-Electric Man could run at incredible speeds, leaving a trail of light behind him, hence his name. As for Mud Monster, he could turn his body into mud and was immune to all physical attacks. If he caught someone, he would envelop them and suffocate them to death.
Gotham was Batman's territory. Why were Light-Electric Man and Mud Monster here?
It was because someone had hired them to capture the three women.
Interestingly, the people who hired them were not the police, but Gotham City's mafia families. Of course, the mafia families had gone through proper channels and hired them through lawyers.
Why would the mafia families have superheroes capture the three women? Because the women had been targeting the families' businesses lately, looting them every so often and causing massive losses. That was why this retaliatory operation had been arranged.
Although the three women possessed some fighting ability, they were clearly outmatched against two righteous superheroes.
Light-Electric Man kept darting past them for sneak attacks, though he did not strike too hard. Relying on his speed, he kept teasing the women. Mud Monster, meanwhile, turned into a mass of sludge and repeatedly pounced at them.
Sludge dripped from his body with wet plops, giving off a foul stench. The three women found it utterly disgusting and kept dodging rather than letting him get close.
