To Jiang Chen, a distance of several dozen li was nothing more than the blink of an eye. He stopped atop a skyscraper, where a woman stood on the roof.
Jiang Chen looked at the woman, his gaze somewhat bewildered. "Were you the one calling me? Who are you? Why did you call me here?"
The woman looked at Jiang Chen. "Don't you recognize me?"
Jiang Chen folded his wings and landed on the roof. The two stood facing each other. "You seem familiar, but I can't remember."
"Before you came to this world, we met once. My name is Mingri," the woman said.
Jiang Chen's eyes filled with confusion. "Before I came to this world? Are you saying I don't belong to this world?"
The woman slowly opened her mouth, revealing a pair of fangs. Her eyes turned red as well. "We come from the same place. We are the same kind."
"You told me to wake up and fulfill my mission. Then who am I, and what is my mission?" Jiang Chen asked with a frown.
"Destroy Nuwa," the woman said.
Jiang Chen was startled. "Destroy Nuwa? You're telling me to destroy Nuwa?"
The woman's voice became distant as she said:
"Yes. That was your mission when you came to this world. I don't know what happened to you on the way here that made you lose your memories and forget your identity."
"Your name is Jiang Chen. You are a Pangu Clan member, and so am I. You came to this world with a sacred mission. Your duty is to watch over Nuwa, but when she makes a mistake, you must stop her. Although humanity has faults, their crimes do not warrant death. Nuwa is in the wrong for wanting to destroy the world. She must be
