The bedroom door opened, followed by the soft click of high heels. Jiang Hao did not turn around and continued working on his computer.
Someone wrapped her arms around Jiang Hao's neck from behind.
"What are you doing?"
Merlin poked her head out beside Jiang Hao's shoulder and looked at what he was doing on his laptop.
"Have you heard of The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse?" Jiang Hao asked.
"I have. They've been really popular lately, hailed as a 'magic troupe ahead of its time,'" Merlin said.
"They have a major magic show in New York in half a month. I bought two tickets and planned to take you out for some fun." Jiang Hao turned his head to look at Merlin.
Surprise appeared on Merlin's face. "Really? That's wonderful. I watched that video of them robbing a bank before. It was so cool and felt so high-tech. I wonder what they'll perform this time. Thank you, Jon."
Merlin kissed Jiang Hao on the cheek.
Holding Jiang Hao by the shoulders, Merlin swayed gently and said, "Darling, one of my friends is having a birthday party and invited me. Would you be interested in coming with me?"
"Which one?" Jiang Hao asked.
"Genesis. We had dinner with her last time," Merlin said.
"Oh, her. Sure, let's go have some fun," Jiang Hao said.
