The Western Regions allied forces achieved a resounding victory against the Xiongnu. They killed King Guli and wiped out eighty thousand Xiongnu troops. When Jiang Hao and his men returned to the Wusun Kingdom with the Xiongnu prisoners, they were welcomed by the entire nation.
The King of Wusun led all his officials and tens of thousands of citizens outside the city to greet them. Upon seeing Jiang Hao, he respectfully placed both hands over his chest, bowed, and performed a grand salute.
"Thank you, King of the West, for saving Wusun, crushing the Xiongnu, killing King Guli, and rescuing Wusun from disaster. Wusun is endlessly grateful and will never forget this kindness for the rest of our lives," the King of Wusun said excitedly.
"There is no need for such ceremony, King of Wusun. Wusun is also a member of the Western Regions Alliance. When an alliance member is attacked, the allied forces have an obligation to come to its aid," Jiang Hao said with a smile.
The King of Wusun thanked him once again.
A grand welcoming ceremony followed. On the vast grasslands, soldiers drank fine wine and feasted on roasted lamb and beef. The people of Wusun sang and danced, music soaring as their graceful figures swayed. Everyone savored this hard-won joy.
The celebration did not end until late into the night. Jiang Hao had no idea how much he had drunk and had to be helped back to his tent. Her Majesty the Queen immediately took him from the attendants with two maids and began undressing him.
Jiang Hao chuckled as he looked at Dina, then pulled her into his arms. Dina was dragged down and landed right on top of him.
"My lord, are you drunk?"
"Drunk, yet not drunk. This is just right, hahaha."
