After taking a bite of ice cream, Jiang Hao withdrew his gaze and smiled at the woman. "Miss Monroe, would you like something to drink?"
"Something cold, preferably a large glass." Marilyn held out her hands to indicate the size, like a child.
"How about a martini?"
"A martini works."
He took an ice bucket from the refrigerator, went to the liquor cabinet, sliced a lemon, and found a large glass nearly twenty centimeters tall. He filled it with ice, poured in gin, added sweet vermouth, dropped in a slice of lemon, then added just the right amount of fizzy soda water. After giving it a shake, he brought it to Marilyn.
Marilyn had watched Jiang Hao's every move. When he handed her the glass, she licked her lips and accepted it with both hands. "It looks like it'll be delicious." Then she took a huge gulp.
"Wow~~"
Marilyn couldn't help crying out. "This tastes incredible. It has a faint green tint, a rich fragrance, a slightly sweet flavor, and it's icy and refreshing. Mr. Hall, your cocktail is perfectly mixed."
After saying that, she took another huge gulp. The chill spread through her from the inside out, instantly dispelling the heat in her heart and making her feel much more comfortable.
Jiang Hao thought to himself that he had once been a chef, after all. Mixology was not his specialty, but making something simple like this was easy enough.
"I'm glad you like it."
As he spoke, Jiang Hao mixed one for himself as well. His drink was slightly different from Marilyn's. He added some ice-blue gin, along with olives and cherries. It had a higher alcohol content. When he lifted the glass, the entire drink was blue, as beautiful under the light as Antarctic ice.
