After the picnic ended, Jiang Hao drove Hanazawa Kana and her mother home. Mrs. Hanazawa thanked Jiang Hao again, and Kana said to her mother, "Mom, go on upstairs. I'll see Teacher off."
Mrs. Hanazawa smiled faintly, picked up the basket, and left first.
After her mother had gone, Hanazawa Kana gave Jiang Hao a deep bow. "Teacher Jiang Chuan, you may not know this, but my greatest wish was never to sing. That was only my second wish. My greatest wish was for my mother to get better. Now she really has recovered. Teacher, thank you so much."
"I've already received your thanks, so I'll be going. From now on, be happy. Be a happy Hanazawa Kana, all right?" Jiang Hao said with a smile.
"Yes, a happy Hanazawa Kana," she said, smiling as well.
Suddenly, Hanazawa Kana jumped up, wrapped her arms around Jiang Hao's neck, and planted a heavy kiss on his cheek before immediately letting go.
Then, in a shy yet determined voice, she said, "Teacher, if it's all right, I can come to your place tonight. I've never done that before. If you like kimono, I can bring one along. Then you'll find out whether there's underwear beneath a kimono."
Jiang Hao smiled and flicked her forehead. "Don't let your imagination run wild. I helped you because I didn't want anything from you."
With that, he waved, got in his car, and drove away. After driving some distance, Jiang Hao muttered with a hint of regret, "What a wonderful shut-in goddess. Too bad she's still too young. There's a mythical beast called the River Crab watching me, so I'll let it go for now."
No matter. There was still the adorable Niigaki Yui. She was definitely fair game. Keep it up.
