With the small talk over, Samael narrowed his eyes. A glint flashed through them as he spoke leisurely.
"Then I'll handle Attila."
"Fine. I'll deal with the enemy Rider as usual and let him know that this land's skies have no need for a second sun!"
Koyanskaya gave the person who had volunteered a long look and readily agreed, a trace of schadenfreude flickering in her eyes.
Knowing him as she did, with that arrangement and that expression, he was probably up to no good.
Having quickly reached an agreement, Samael did not linger. He waved goodbye to Koyanskaya, then rose and headed for the church to rendezvous with his Master.
Yet before the ancient serpent could enter, he saw two familiar figures gathered beneath the dim streetlamp. They looked at each other, sighed, and stood there at a loss.
"Ereshkigal, Rin, what are you doing here? Looks like you've run into some trouble."
Samael walked over and asked casually.
"What else could it be besides Sakura..."
Rin Tohsaka spoke gloomily, explaining the trouble troubling the two of them with a miserable expression.
After all, Sakura was her biological younger sister, the girl she had grown up with and who had always followed behind her calling her big sister. Rin's feelings for Sakura needed no questioning.
But Sakura Tohsaka, standing on the opposing side with both Kama and Demon King Pāpīyas possessing her, had become an extremely thorny problem.
At Enzouzan, even with both Rin and Ereshkigal joining forces, they had been unable to gain any advantage against Sakura Tohsaka's He Who Transforms Freely.
They had declared with absolute confidence that they would storm Enzworth, defeat her head-on, and bring her home.
But now that battle was imminent, fulfilling that promise with their own strength alone would be exceedingly difficult.
