A blazing white stream of light surged forth. The pervasive gray mist evaporated and dissolved in an instant like snow and ice beneath the scorching sun, leaving hundreds of blurry shadows without the cover of the fog, nowhere to hide.
They were infant spirits brimming with resentment.
Samael slightly turned sideways, tightening his grip around the fruit knife.
