Wearing AR glasses and holding a glow stick, Tomoe Gozen rushed out of the bedroom, waving another set of equipment as she searched everywhere for her teammate.
The female general with a high ponytail raced through the corridor in a frenzy, conducting a carpet search of the surrounding rooms.
Behind the curtains, under the bed, inside the cabinets—she even checked the trash cans. Her eyes swept around like searchlights. She looked like an addict in the throes of withdrawal, hunting for the forbidden drug that would send her soaring, moving with wild abandon and none of her former gentle elegance.
Her noisy shouts echoed through the corridor, loud and clear.
A pair of golden-brown fox ears twitched slightly toward the sound.
After a moment, Suzuka Gozen, who was reclining against the sofa with her legs crossed as she read, put down her romance novel. She lifted an elbow and nudged the person beside her, her eyes full of teasing.
"Your Tomoe is looking for you again."
Samael looked up and shot her a glare, refusing to respond.
