Samael could not make sense of the sudden change before him and instinctively stepped forward.
"Hey! That's enough! Seriously! If you dare come any closer, I'll burn you to death, got it?!"
The ill-tempered Witch of Black leaped back like a startled rabbit. Then, once she came to her senses, her pretty face tightened as she waved him off with a disdainful snort.
"Don't move. Let me take a look..."
Samael explained helplessly and raised a hand toward the Witch's forehead with a hint of concern.
"Tch, don't look at me with those disgusting eyes. I'm not some child who needs you to take care of me!"
Yet the Witch fiercely rejected this closeness and concern from a god. She immediately turned her head aside and raised her fingers.
Surging, boundless ether gathered under the pull of her consciousness. Without being taught, she formed one obscure rune after another, which linked together in an instant into a red-and-black Magic Formation.
"Roar!"
The Magic Formation in midair activated. A giant beast resembling a lizard, covered in black scales, with two horns on its head and a body dozens of meters long, roared as it emerged from the formation before diving downward.
A dragon?!
Samael stared at this rare species, one that had nearly vanished from the earth, utterly taken aback.
"Stop!"
Facing the charging beast, the Witch of Black casually raised a hand and snorted impatiently.
At once, the giant dragon folded its wings and dropped sharply. A wild gust swept through the stone chamber as it landed before the Witch with outstretched claws, then eagerly brought its head close like a cat or dog hearing its master's call.
"Idiot, you're about to spray drool all over me. Don't get so close, or I'll roast you!"
