Samael answered with a soft laugh, casually taking the Rune Stone and slipping it into his pocket.
"Besides, I'm not some porcelain doll that breaks at the slightest touch."
As he spoke, the ancient serpent raised the two black Colt M1911s he had swiped from Natalia's safe house and tucked them into his waistband. Then he added several magazines loaded with spell bullets and three tactical grenades engraved with runes on their casings. With a pull of his trench coat, he looked exactly like a hardened criminal on his way to rob a bank.
"Fine. We'll separately check the marked locations on the east and west sides. Meet back at the safe house at ten tonight and pool our information. Don't act rashly."
