Kitahara Kaede voiced his concerns.
Ōtsutsuki Dai merely spoke calmly.
"You can rest assured about that. As long as you meet that criterion, it'll be fine."
A criterion?
This piqued Kitahara Kaede's curiosity.
"What criterion do I need to meet, and what can I gain?"
Ōtsutsuki Dai did not seem inclined to explain further.
He said calmly,
"You'll understand when you get there. If you can enter, then I'll explain it to you."
Ōtsutsuki Dai's attitude was not a problem.
But Kitahara Kaede still felt somewhat stifled.
After all, it felt as though he was being looked down on.
Fortunately, Kitahara Kaede would soon be able to speak with his strength.
He did not know how long they had walked.
At last, Kitahara Kaede saw the end of the path.
It was a low little hill.
The kind one could reach the top of in just a couple of steps.
But upon getting closer, it did have the air of some sort of ruin.
Still, Kitahara Kaede's first thought upon seeing it was,
Isn't this far too small?
Ōtsutsuki Dai paid no attention to Kitahara Kaede's mood.
Instead, he walked directly up to the small mound.
Then a doorway opened.
He entered first.
Kitahara Kaede followed behind him.
From outside, all that could be seen through the doorway was darkness.
But after entering the doorway,
they could see a beam of light.
However, the only thing here that caught Kitahara Kaede's attention
was that single beam of light.
Ōtsutsuki Dai stopped.
Kitahara Kaede stopped as well.
Only now did Kitahara Kaede have the time to look around.
The place where they stood
was merely a small platform.
Ahead of them,
there seemed to be a circular altar.
The altar was merely Kitahara Kaede's own interpretation.
And the only beam of
