Krillin browsed through the missions. He skipped the low-level ones directly. Krillin was looking for missions with a strong purpose. Working for the Galactic King? Not in this lifetime. Krillin planned to find planets containing high-energy substances and get rich quietly.
The Galactic Patrol organization, as expected of an established power, had incredibly rich mission data spanning a very long time. Some missions even dated back thousands of years. Krillin directly filtered a few, prioritizing those located in remote areas, attacked by a significant invasion force, and where the reason for the invasion was the planet's abundant energy resources.
As he meticulously screened them, the number of available missions dwindled. The first one that caught his eye was a mission from two hundred years ago.
Defeat King Cold's Invasion: 1,000,000 points. Mission Difficulty: A-Class.
Krillin couldn't help but scoff at the mission. Two hundred years, and no Galactic Patrolman had taken it. Everyone knew King Cold's Family was not to be trifled with. The so-called Galactic Patrolmen were merely a force that occupied the moral high ground.
Krillin accepted the mission. He had already planned to investigate that area anyway, so this was a convenient way to earn some points.
Krillin continued browsing, and another mission caught his eye.
Investigate Planet Prot, reason for becoming a dead planet in a short period: 1000 points. Mission Difficulty: D-Class.
"Became a dead planet in such a short time?" Krillin couldn't help but stroke his chin in thought, his eyes lost in memory. "What could possibly turn a planet into a dead one? Could it be..."
Krillin's eyes suddenly lit up, and he exclaimed in shock, "The Spirit Tree Fruit! Only the Spirit Tree Fruit can absorb a planet's life force in such a short time. When a planet loses its life force, it naturally becomes a dead planet."
Legend had it that the Spirit Tree Fruit condensed the life essence of an entire planet, having a tremendous effect on nourishing the body. Most importantly, it could restore a person's vitality. In the later stages of Dragon Ball, everyone was getting old, even Saiyans. If he possessed the Spirit Tree Fruit, wouldn't it allow his companions to stay young forever?
Krillin's own dimension had increased, and his lifespan had correspondingly extended. Krillin wasn't worried about his own lifespan. Saiyans also had a very long youth. However, seeing his companions grow old one by one, becoming frail and decrepit, would be a massive blow to Krillin's heart. With the Spirit Tree Fruit, none of that would be a problem.
Krillin was not a demon, but he was definitely not an angel. If he planted a Spirit Tree on a planet under Frieza's command, no one would call Krillin a demon. On the contrary, they would praise him as a righteous warrior protecting the galaxy.
The mission was posted a year ago. Planet Prot was extremely far from Galactic Headquarters, otherwise, 1000 points wouldn't have made it so unpopular. That's right, this further confirmed Krillin's guess. It had to be Turles. His strength should still be very weak now, having just obtained the Spirit Tree Fruit seeds. To avoid the Galactic Patrol and other forces, he had no choice but to go to a desolate place to secretly cultivate the Spirit Tree.
Now that Krillin knew, he wouldn't give up on the Spirit Tree Fruit. He had to go look for it. Planet Prot was on the edge of the East Galaxy, east of the Straw Hat Galaxy. Even with the Galactic Organization's most advanced spaceship, it would take over a month to fly there. He would go to the Straw Hat Galaxy first to find energy. With energy, he could do whatever he wanted.
Krillin only took these two missions. Other missions were truly insignificant compared to these two.
To go to the Straw Hat Galaxy, Krillin needed a high-performance spaceship. His Instant Transmission still had significant flaws, and he spent most of his time traveling, leaving him no time to train. Anyway, 10,000 points were like picking up money.
"Let's see what I can exchange with 10,000 points." Krillin casually opened the points exchange list:
High-grade Energy Ore: 100 points Artificial Human Seed: 100-1000 points (price varies with Battle Power) Spaceship: 2000 points Space Cannon: 10,000 points
"Wow, there are quite a lot of good things." Krillin browsed.
Krillin pressed the purchase option. The illuminated icon for the spaceship turned dim. New items would only appear on the points list after purchasing existing ones. What he could buy depended partly on luck.
"I'll buy them all, so no one else can buy anything, haha. It seems I'm a bit short, I don't need the Space Cannon. I'll buy the rest. Krillin is still very curious about how Artificial Humans grow." Krillin decided to go all the way with being a bad guy.
Purchased items would be sent to the space base and could only be retrieved with personal exclusive Galactic identification.
After Krillin finished buying, he felt refreshed, not regretting a single bit. Shadao watched from the side, stunned. He spent so much all at once? Shadao couldn't believe it. He had spent his savings of 10 years.
Krillin walked out. Shadao stood frozen. Krillin chuckled and returned, nudging Shadao with his arm. "Let's go, what are you spacing out for!"
"Where are we going?" Shadao asked blankly, his eyes unfocused.
"Space base, to pick up the spaceship, and then to the Straw Hat Galaxy," Krillin said suddenly, his expression serious.
"Huh? Ah?" Shadao was too excited to speak.
Krillin took Shadao to the space base. The space base was essentially a logistics warehouse. All trade from the Galactic King's commercial planets passed through the space base for goods turnover.
Krillin walked up to a staff member and said, "I'm here to collect supplies."
"What is it? Do you have the purchase receipt?" the staff member said somewhat arrogantly. The department managing supplies had always been like this.
Shadao, standing nearby, stepped forward. "Are you blind? This is the newly appointed Sheriff Krillin, personally appointed by the Galactic King. As a mere logistics staff member, who gave you the courage to be so presumptuous?" After speaking, Shadao quickly stood behind Krillin, looking just like...
The staff member clearly didn't believe him. The Galactic King had just appointed Krillin as Sheriff, and only high-level figures knew this news. It hadn't been announced yet, so the delay in information at the lower levels meant they were unaware.
Krillin didn't want to waste time with these insignificant individuals. He casually threw his information at the staff member and looked at him calmly.
The staff member looked at the information. At the top, in large characters, it read: Sheriff Krillin. The staff member panicked, his hands trembling, and he stammered, "Greetings... Sheriff... Sheriff Krillin."
Krillin said calmly, "Arrogance and prejudice will only lead to your downfall."
"Yes... yes..." The staff member's legs trembled.
"Lead the way!" Krillin suddenly commanded.
The staff member, startled, knelt on the ground, his expression terrified. "Where... where do we go?"
Krillin couldn't help but break into a cold sweat. "To get the equipment!"
Krillin arrived at the warehouse in the back. Because Krillin was a high-ranking official, his supplies were stored separately in a warehouse.
Krillin looked at the spaceship in the warehouse and was puzzled. With the advanced technology of the universe, why weren't there tools like Hoi-Poi Capsules? He couldn't figure it out!
"Shadao, you go pilot the spaceship. Prepare for departure!" Krillin called out to Shadao, who was looking around distractedly.
"Yes, Sheriff Krillin," Shadao replied, then quickly ran towards the spaceship.
