The 18th floor of the Dungeon had neither a maze nor complicated, difficult passages. It was simply a vast circular space.

Sheer rock walls surrounding the entire floor stretched all the way up to the crystal-covered ceiling.

To the south was the cavern leading to the 17th floor.

To the north lay sparse wetlands and forests, where monsters from the other floors generally wandered about.

To the west was an enormous lake.

On the lake stood a rocky island, at the center of which rose a gigantic tree.

Beneath the roots of that enormous tree was a hollow.

That was the entrance to the 19th floor.

The town on the 18th floor stood at the very top of that towering, massive island.

It was a town made entirely of wood, with nearly every building constructed from timber.

The town had been built along a cliff, with steep slopes everywhere, log stairways set up throughout, and all manner of crystals and rocks surrounding it. At first glance, it looked extremely shabby. In truth, it really was extremely shabby.

Since monsters from other floors also attacked the humans here, the buildings in town were, by necessity, all simple structures that could be put together quickly.

These easily and temporarily assembled buildings were almost all shops.

Weapon shops, item shops, inns, and the few taverns there were all catered to adventurers.

Naturally, everyone who could reach the 18th floor and make it to this town was an adventurer.
