Amid the tense atmosphere, Linse Laurenhrost and Leora ultimately did not actually fight.
Leora's divine power was still recovering, and she was not currently in perfect condition. Fighting Linse Laurenhrost in that state would be quite difficult, and she could not win without paying a certain price, so she simply gave up.
As for Linse Laurenhrost, the moment she learned that Leora was not in perfect condition, she decisively abandoned her hostility.
"I am a noble," Linse Laurenhrost said as though it were only natural.
"Attacking under these circumstances would simply be taking advantage of someone's weakness. As a noble, doing something like that would only cheapen my status."
That really did sound like something Linse Laurenhrost would say.
Leora both agreed with it and found it difficult to fully accept.
"The Spirit Sword Dance Festival is not merely a sacrificial ritual. There are countless nations willing to resort to any means necessary to win. If you do not attack me when I am at my weakest, perhaps you will never again find such an easy chance to defeat me."
"I never intended to win easily in the first place." Linse Laurenhrost looked straight at Leora, her gaze unusually resolute.
"I came to participate in the Spirit Sword Dance Festival with the determination to claim victory even if I ended up battered and bruised."
"Is that so?" Leora spoke in confusion.
"Then wouldn't dealing with me now be the wisest course of action?"
"Those two matters cannot be confused at all." Linse Laurenhrost pressed her lips together and spoke softly.
