The match between the Gremory peerage and the Bael peerage was conducted by rolling dice.
The rules were as follows.
Each side had one die.
Before every match began, both sides had to roll their dice to determine the combined total.
Based on that number, both sides could send out peerage members whose value matched the assessment value of their Evil Pieces.
This so-called value assessment counted Pawns as 1, while the other pieces were assigned values accordingly.
A Queen was equivalent to nine Pawns, so she was counted as 9.
A Rook was equivalent to five Pawns, so it was counted as 5.
A Knight and a Bishop were equivalent to three Pawns, so they were counted as 3.
Under this system, both sides rolled their dice and ultimately sent out peerage members whose total value matched the number rolled, then fought.
For example, if Rias and Serafall both rolled a 4, the total would be 8, and both sides could only deploy pieces that matched that number.
With an 8, they could deploy one Rook along with one Knight or Bishop.
Of course, if they rolled an 8, they could also send out eight Pawns. As long as the pieces' value matched the number rolled, they could take the field.
In other words, to deploy a Queen, the rolled number had to be at least 9.
To deploy a Rook, the rolled number had to be at least 5.
To deploy a Knight or Bishop, the rolled number had to be at least 3.
To deploy Pawns, they had to roll a number equal to the number of pieces being used. Asia
